THE WAY I SEE IT by Don Polson Red Bluff Daily News 4/11/2023
Legal, political, mental “disorder”
Jesus Christ: Resurrected, risen and ascended…for us.
18 years ago, “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder,” by Dr. Michael Savage (more
academically qualified than Jill Biden) hit bookshelves. Savage’s take on the “liberal”
approach to, and analysis of, issues holds true and appropriate to this day.
Before we even frame (appropriate term) the legal and political indictment
of former President Donald J. Trump by Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg—cue Bill
Cosby’s classic “fat Albert” routine—other news stories illustrate the political
and legal “fact pattern.”
Presidential contender, former First Lady and Obama’s Secretary of State,
Hillary Clinton, committed a raft of crimes, according to FBI Director James
Comey, during the 2016 campaign. With a surprisingly straight face, Comey exonerated
her of intention or culpability. Comey then gave Americans this gem of judicial
“mental disorder”: “Although there is evidence of potential violations of the
statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that
no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”
Governor “Gruesome” Newsom essentially tells Californians “Nothing to see
here” over the flood of illegal aliens; homelessness dwarfing public resources;
home prices and rents beyond most residents’ financial reach; decades of
intentionally neglected water storage—refusing the mandates and funds that taxpayers
and legislators have dedicated—leaves surpluses falling on hills and mountains,
running to sea; and the highest gas prices and taxes in America.
Powerless to offer serious solutions, Newsom imposed onerous, and
scientifically unnecessary, COVID mandates. He now presides over the legal persecution
of doctors who apply their own experience, expertise and devotion to patients’
health, but don’t conform to the state’s medical fiats.
This despot-in-all-but-name flies about, on $10 million of taxpayer
money, to find, call out, and criticize what he wants Californians to think are
anti-democratic and anti-freedom practices and laws elsewhere. If there’s a
school library in, say Florida, that has, due to common decency and legal
mandates, removed books and materials that are (as Supreme Court Justice Potter
said, “I know it when I see it”) pornographic, perverse, sick and despicable for
school kids—Newsom cries “censorship.”
Florida to Newsom: “Sorry, you’re not getting those U-Haul trucks back—your
people are stuck.”
Regarding Florida, recall the data scientist, Rebekah Jones, who made a
false accusation (said the inspector general)—earning her “whistleblower” status
on the left—that Gov. DeSantis manipulated data to make Florida’s pandemic
response look better. She was rightfully fired, but now sues the state for “wrongful
termination.”
Her biological “son” presents himself as a girl, takes anti-depressants,
and threatened to kill students with guns, due to the ineffectiveness of the
drugs (really?). Jones is, of course, portraying herself and her child (delivered
into custody over said threats) as the victims; all are mentally unbalanced, customary
among those pretending to be differently sexed and their misguided enablers.
Note that Florida’s overall death numbers turn out to be as good or
better than large “lockdown” states, where huge numbers died from overdoses,
alcohol, violence and treatable conditions.
Speaking of COVID “lockdowns,” Sweden was condemned because they let
people live their lives without inconvenience, while giving protection and treatment
to the vulnerable elderly. Data from OECD and The Spectator put Sweden’s “excess
deaths”—from all causes during the pandemic compared to the 2015-2019 average—at
the lowest of the advanced nations, and about 1/10th those of the United
States. Say you’re “sorry,” Fauci-ites.
Speaking of despots, New York’s AG wants the NY Supreme Court to allow
the state’s Commissioner of Health to forcefully quarantine anyone she deems a
health threat, wherever and for as long as she wants.
Phony charges of “fascism” are hurled at Tennessee Republicans for
kicking out members who participated in a “storming” and occupation of their
legislature by anti-gun, pro-trans mobs. By the Democrats’ Jan. 6 standard this
was a literal “insurrection,” halting normal business, and physically
intimidating and assaulting Deputies and legislators. Insurrectionists: Don’t
let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.
The indictment of Trump must be looked at as the culmination of decades
of political, cultural, legal and governmental “mental disorder.” Your news
sources are probably part of the campaign to influence, and steal, another
election by tarnishing the leading candidate (vs. other Republicans and Joe
Biden, Rasmussen poll) with “trumped up” charges having zero legal merit:
1) DA Bragg is cobbling together felonies from misdemeanors whose “statute
of limitations” ran out years ago, and were artificially, illegally extended
under the pretext that the COVID emergency erased the legal time limit.
2) The 34-count indictment simply creates another crime out of thin air
for every time a bookkeeping entry showed any payments for “hush money”
(nothing but a typical “non-disclosure” agreement to handle a “nuisance”
lawsuit). Ms. Clifford, aka Stormy Daniels, denied in writing ever having an
affair with Trump.
3) Bragg can’t even cite a federal crime violated; the Federal Election
Commission stated categorically that no campaign finance violation occurred. Period.
We are witnessing bold, crass, evil “lawfare,” using the legal system to achieve
and retain raw power, even to the extent of falsely prosecuting the likely next
president—Donald J. Trump.
