Don's Tuesday Column

THE WAY I SEE IT   by Don Polson  Red Bluff Daily News   3/28/2023

Fools, foolishness no longer funny

While the “April Fools” theme appeared weeks ago, it’s an “evergreen” topic; examples abound every week. Being taken for gullible fools and suckers by political and media “patrician” classes only fuels disbelief and disrespect.

Delusional MSNBC scold Joy(less) Reid mindlessly repeated “That’s not true” to Republican Byron Donalds when he shared simple verifiable facts from the government’s own data on the looming insolvency of Social Security and Medicare. Did she really think haranguing Donalds would refute the facts?

Likewise, White House Occupant Joe Biden responded, “That’s not true,” when confronted by a foreign reporter (more courageous than American “journalists,” i.e. regime stenographers) over now-exposed, B of A documentation of $1 million+ payments from a Chinese energy company to Hunter, James, Hallie, and Joe Biden—while he was Vice President.

Bubble-headed but devoted (to the narrative) WH press mouthpiece KJP dodged reporters’ queries by lying that “Republicans” were telling “lies”; “I’m not going to get into it.” World-class deflection.

When the Sgt. Schultz character in the 60s comedy Hogan’s Heroes blubbers “I know nothing, Nothing!” audiences chuckled at the absurdity. When Law Professor Jonathan Turley writes that “The National Archives Just Torpedoed Biden’s Sgt. Schultz Defense,” the evident corruption is no laughing matter.

While the serial fabrication, fabulism and plagiarism of Joe Biden’s political career may be well known to anyone not paid to suspend disbelief—likewise, “useful idiots” whose information comes solely from Democrats’ sycophantic propagandists—let’s put new revelations into perspective.

Who you gonna believe—Biden, the AP and blinkered talking heads on networks, CNN and MSNBC (and HuffPo, etc.)? Or your own lying ears, eyes, and mind over the transcribed v.m. from “Dad” over articles reporting Hunter’s foreign dealings/pay-to-play/influence peddling. Joe: “I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you’re clear.”

So, Hunter and VP “Dad” never discussed Hunter’s Chinese web of payola-remuneration, filtering into his intricate business setups, while they were on a trans-Pacific flight to China? That whopper, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” was brought up by candidate Trump in a debate, but the Biden-for-President press adjunct echoed defensive disbelief.

Turley nails it: “Some of us have written for two years that President Biden’s denial of knowledge is patently false. It was equally evident that the Biden family was selling influence and access. There are emails of Ukrainian and other foreign clients thanking Hunter Biden for arranging meetings with his father. There are photos from dinners and meetings that tie President Biden to these figures, including a 2015 dinner with a group of Hunter Biden’s Russian and Kazakh clients…”

Biden’s business partner, Tony Bobulinski, directly confirmed “that he met twice with Joe Biden to discuss a business deal in China with CEFC China Energy Co.”

This was obvious from Hunter’s laptop contents, in FBI possession from late 2019, and reported in exposés in the New York Post weeks before the 2020 election. It was shamelessly and duplicitously called “Russian disinformation” by Trump-hating intel hacks. Polling proved that enough Biden voters would not have voted for him, had they known, to reelect President Trump. Stolen election, indeed.

Fox News: “VP Biden’s office tried to quash Bloomberg story about Hunter Biden at his firm’s request, emails show.” The disingenuous “I know nothing” defense, peddled by candidate, then President, Biden, was nothing more than “fool me once, shame on you; fool me at least seven times, shame on me—I’m a sucker.”

More (unfunny) April Foolishness: Manhattan D.A. Bragg, after leaking via NY Times’ Maggie Haberman weeks ago that Trump’s indictment loomed, now 1) ludicrously accuses Trump of making it up; and 2) hypocritically says Republicans Jordon et al are interfering in his anti-Trump jihad, while his investigation is blatantly interfering in the 2024 presidential election.

From The Babylon Bee: “Trump exploits little-known legal loophole where you avoid indictment by not committing a crime.” And “Putin impressed with American system of prosecuting political opponents.”

Texas Republican Chip Roy refuted perverts’ and groomers’ (i.e. Democrats’) hysterical assertions that the GOP bill—enshrining parents’ rights to know what’s being taught in classrooms, put in school libraries, and told to their impressionable children—will cause book burning, and hate and death for LGBXYZ kids.

Did you hear about progressive books banned from Amazon, liberal speakers shouted down, and mobs intimidating “woke” campus visitors? April Fools—that’s conservative books, speakers and campus visitors.

A GOP Rep. lured an ATF official into defining the lengthy prison sentence that someone would earn if they lied about illegal drug use on a gun purchase form—only to reveal that the felony-committing, drug-using, deceptive gun purchaser was…Hunter Biden, who admitted drug use in a book. The admission panicked Dems.

Joe Biden, responding to a question: “I like babies better than people.” Too bad his affection only begins after they’ve avoided being aborted by their mothers.

Robin DiAngelo advises people of color to “Get away from White people”—Insightful. Scot Adams: “White people should get the hell away from Black people”—Cancel the racist.

“U.N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked,” June 29, 1989. April Fools.

Correction: Dr. Fauci has treated patients.
