THE
WAY I SEE IT by Don Polson Red Bluff Daily News 9/13/2022
Fun facts help explain the left
“Never forget” that the deaths and destruction of 9/11 were hatched by
evil, hateful, fanatical Islamic terrorists who have never wavered in their
diabolical schemes to destroy, or convert to Islam, Israel and America.
Compartmentalized FBI rules prevented a) following up on jihadists not
interested in learning how to land aircraft in their classes; and b) examining
a laptop belonging to a terrorist. Now, Joe Biden’s Iran dealings assure
terrorists worldwide that they will get “the bomb”; millions of dead “infidels”
may ensue.
It may be “legalese”—settled law governing criminal prosecutions insuring
a fair and level playing field for accountability and rights—but here are some
good facts. Truth is its own reward.
The obsessively one-sided media, “Trump deranged” commentariat in cable,
network and print, fill their minutes and column-inches with endless assertions.
They quickly escalate to Espionage Act violations and other treasonous accusations
over Donald Trump’s possession of documents and his then-Presidential authority
to declassify them. Guilty, you say?
Clips from MSNBC, etc. have been watched; proud conviction and repetition
supposedly “prove” questionable conclusions. The DOJ arrogantly told Federal
Judge Cannon to not assign a special master to sort and separate Trump’s attorney-
or executive-privileged papers (not under DOJ authority), from those displaying
national security classification.
The DOJ asserts they will prevail upon appeal “because no court could
possibly conclude that Trump owns the 100 classified records, has a right to
have them back, or has any attorney-client or executive privilege claims that
would prevent prosecutors from using them in their criminal investigations.”
The problem with that imperious resort to authority is that 1) Bill
Clinton’s right to have tapes of presidential material in his “sock drawer” was
deemed so irrefutable that the DOJ didn’t bother to appeal the ruling. Judge
Jackson (in 2012): “Under the statutory scheme established by the PRA
(Presidential Records Act) the decision to segregate personal materials from
Presidential records is made by the President, during the President’s term and
in his sole discretion…Since the President is completely entrusted with the
management and even the disposal of Presidential records…”
And 2) the Supreme Court explicitly affirmed the President as the sole
Executive with unmitigated authority to declassify anything at will. Every
argument against Trump’s lawful possession is erroneous (constitutional
professor Alan Dershowitz).
More evident facts: Their two-pronged strategy: 1) so muddy the political
waters around Trump, with endlessly, widely repeated phony charges of
treasonous perfidy, that his likely victory in 2024 becomes less so;
And 2) protect (from exposure and prosecution) the Deep State actors,
conspirators and enemies of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” presidency; they
broke every law, policy, ruling and precedent in their political “jihad” to
prevent his electoral win and then stymie his America First policies. All are
criminals who implemented “Crossfire Hurricane,” the Steele “dossier,” the FISA
spying, impeachments, and on and on.
“If the DOJ is forced to let an independent arbiter look at what they are
doing, ‘irreparable harm’ [to the DOJ] may ensue. When the agency in power
seizes documents that carry evidence of the corruption within the agency, by
weaponizing tactical lawfare to keep evidence of their corrupt activities from
the public, this is what happens. Our justice system was politically weaponized
by Barack Obama and Eric Holder, who collapsed the credibility and authority of
the institutions.” (theconservativetreehouse.com)
More fun facts: 1) Democrats, in the runup to the Civil War, called
Lincoln’s new anti-slavery party “the Black Republicans,” appealing to racial
bigotry; 2) Franklin Roosevelt suggested Republicans were anti-American, like
the Tories of the Revolutionary War who left the country;
3) Roosevelt even used his 1944 State of the Union speech to declare
that, in a return to Republican rule, “even though we shall have conquered our
enemies on the battlefields abroad, we shall have yielded to the spirit of
Fascism here at home.”
4) “President [Truman] likens Dewey to Hitler as Fascists’ Tool…A
Republican victory on election day will bring a Fascistic threat to American
freedom that is even more dangerous than the perils from communism and extreme
right ‘crackpots,’” (New York Times, 10/25/1948).
5) Democrats’ “fascism” slur entrenched itself when the GOP nominated
Barry Goldwater in 1964. California Governor Pat Brown said Goldwater’s
acceptance speech “had the stench of fascism…all we needed to hear was ‘Heil
Hitler’.” 6) Elsewhere, Republicans had “Mein Kampf as their political bible
(S.F. Mayor Shelley); “the smell of fascism in the air at this convention,” (columnist
Drew Pearson); “GOP Convention, 1964, Recalls Germany, 1933 (Chicago Defender).
I guess Ronald Reagan’s landslide 1980 election was not “our (Democrats’)
Democracy”; a liberal think tank said it was “frightening,” professor John Roth
wrote of “…our post-election state with fear and trembling,” and Harry Stein
said that Reagan voters were like “good Germans” in “Hitler’s Germany.”
When Newt Gingrich upended Democrats’ 40-year reign in Congress, it was
“a glorious day if you’re a fascist,” “Hitler wasn’t even doing these things
(proposing cutting entitlements),” and “These are people who are practicing
genocide with a smile; they’re worse than Hitler.” (various Democrats, hat tip

But Republicans are the divisive ones? Those in charge of all branches of federal power, prosecuting their political enemies, “cancelling” opponents’ voices throughout media, enlisting corporations and credit card companies to persecute Trump, and 2nd Amendment, supporters; using the education system to force radical, Marxist racial and sexual ideologies onto students, and “loyalty oaths” to “diversity, equity, and inclusion”; using COVID to shred constitutional rights—and unconstitutionally abrogate voting laws to enable mail-in fraud. They’re the fascists.
