THE WAY I SEE IT by Don Polson Red Bluff Daily News 2/15/2022
Offensiveness subjectively applied
Skip ahead 5 paragraphs, to “It’s safe now” if it’s uncomfortable to even
think offensive words; or the controversial use of the “n-word” by almost
anyone, I guess. We’re told that, for White people, it’s forbidden to even
quote the word as used by someone else, having cultural or racial privileges in
their “artistic” presentations.
What about President-ish Joe Biden, whose recorded “n-word” usage was
promptly proclaimed as “taken out of context” by “fact checkers” because he was
quoting someone? Should everything with the late Democratic Senator Robert C.
Byrd’s name in West Virginia be demolished or renamed because he was a devoted
Ku Klux Klan Kleagle in his 20s and 30s? That’s no brief flirtation.
Byrd waxed thoughtful when interviewed—illuminating Americans who perhaps
had not heard of such a thing—about “white n---ers” this and “white n---ers”
that. The presence of certified White supremacists and segregationists in the
Democrat Party have been “air-brushed” from history to cultivate the illusion
of Democrats as contemporary champions of Black people.
We should have this controversy over language—but, apparently, not
because of the prolific use of that word in “hip hop” lyrics. The parents of my
Black friends in Canastota, N.Y. would have washed their mouths with soap to
hear their children singing rap songs like “Good kid, m.A.A.d city” by Kendrick
Lamar. The word “n---a” or “n----as” appears 21 times; White fans are
admonished that they aren’t allowed to sing (or say, or shout, or whatever you
do to hip-hop “music”) those words. Is it curious, hypocritical, or just a
double standard?
You thought this was all about podcaster (to millions) Joe Rogan; he
quoted others using the n-word, just like Joe Biden. He should’ve had a “hot
button” with Lamar’s voice saying “n---a” instead of his own voice—or would
that still have run afoul of the “woke” speech police? Oh, the quandary.
“It’s safe now.” To catch readers up: Democrats are realizing that their
White House Occupant, Joe Biden, is a lead anchor on candidates in November. Their
desperate gazes land on their last loser, (who never conceded, still questioning
the 2016 election legitimacy) Hillary Clinton; but here come some long-awaited
charges by Special Counsel John Durham (remember him?).
“Lawyers for the Clinton campaign paid a technology company to ‘infiltrate’
servers belonging to Trump Tower, and later the White House, in order to
establish an ‘inference’ and ‘narrative’…linking Donald Trump to Russia, a filing
from [Durham] says.” (Fox News)
“The most shocking part of these allegations…is that the Democratic Party
used a tech contractor working for the White House to gather (or fabricate)
data intended to put then-President Trump in a bad light. If this understanding
is correct–apart from the claim that the same thing occurred during the
presidential campaign—it is a truly shocking scandal that implies serious
criminal charges.” (J. Hinderaker)
“The latest pleading from Special Counsel Robert Durham provides
indisputable evidence that my campaign and presidency were spied on by
operatives paid by the Hillary Clinton Campaign in an effort to develop a
completely fabricated connection to Russia. This is a scandal far greater in
scope and magnitude than Watergate, and those who were involved in and knew
about this spying operation should be subject to criminal prosecution.” (Donald
J. Trump)
This proves that Trump was targeted by the worst political “dirty tricks”
and hoax in America’s history—it should disqualify Hillary from not only any
office but also any legitimacy—while Dems try, desperately and fallaciously, to
disqualify Trump and others from office. All who spread lies about Trump are despicable.
The headline, “Biden’s climate policies added $1,000 to Americans’ energy
bills in 2021, study finds,” follows a court injunction against Biden’s order
that uses the “social costs of greenhouse gases” to support regulations.
Now, the Wall Street Journal informs us that “Climate scientists
encounter limits of computer models, bedeviling policy.” Basically, there have
never been, are not now, nor will there ever be, computers and models that are
capable of the reliability of prediction that should guide nation- or
world-wide climate policies. 95 percent of simple temperature models have, over
decades, wildly overestimated warming. “The science” errs.
The Washingtontimes.com piece: “Mr.
Biden’s climate change policies coupled with rising inflation contributed to
the highest single-year increase in energy costs in decades,” (Heartland Institute
analysis)… “Rapidly rising energy prices are no accident, but instead the
predictable result of Joe Biden’s war on energy.” (James Taylor, president)
“Inflation costs American households $276 more per month,” (apropos stickers
of Joe Biden, pointing to gas prices, saying “I did that”). Chris Queen,
pjmedia.com, points to 40-year high, 7.5% inflation, which still underestimates
actual hikes of gas, eggs, cars (new/used), hotel/motel, tobacco and housekeeping.

Simple math: 7.5% inflation=prices doubling in about 10 years; 4% raises=doubling
of wages in 18 yrs. CNN poll: Of Biden’s 60% disapproval, fully 56% said he’d
done “nothing they like since taking office.”
The Jan. 6 legal jihad: Aside from those assaulters of police and
damagers of property, charges of trespassing, “parading” and such must now be
dropped (meaning most of the hundreds charged). Neither V.P. Pence, nor
V.P.-elect Harris were in the Capitol when the breech and “invasion/not
insurrection” occurred (Capitol Police). That cancels the assumed violation of
the building (absent violence) by protesters simply walking through
unobstructed spaces.
Correction to local writer: No, zero police were killed by Trump’s
protesters. Fact: the only fatalities were two Trump-supporting women, Ashli
Babbitt, fatally shot in the neck by Lt. Michael Byrd; and Rosanne Boyland, beaten
with a steel baton—while on the ground, unconscious—by Metro Officer Lila Morris.
Boyland died 90 minutes later.
