Kamala Steps in It Big Time With Latest Remarks About Trump That Expose Her Own Problems

Kamala Steps in It Big Time With Latest Remarks About Trump That Expose Her Own Problems

Kamala Harris is not exactly the sharpest tool in the drawer, as she proved again on Saturday.

She made comments about releasing her medical records and then tried to attack former President Donald Trump over a "lack of transparency." But in the process, she managed to step in it over her own issues.

"So you saw I released my medical records today, as has every candidate for President of the United States, except Donald Trump in this election cycle," she said.

"It's just a further example of his lack of transparency. That, on top of his unwillingness to debate again, his unwillingness to do an interview with "60 Minutes," which again is part of the norm of what anyone running for president of the United States does. I think it's obvious that his team at least does not want the American people to see everything about who he is."

Now, that's a statement that takes some kind of gall — and is all kinds of projection.

First, as my colleague Bob Hoge explained, Trump has released a letter from his doctor regarding his fitness as well as updates after he was shot. He jumped up after he was shot in the ear. I think that trumps anything she might have to say about his health.

Second, Trump has done far more interviews than her. She barely had done any before this recent spate of interviews to try move the needle in her direction. And he's done them with all kinds of outlets, not just liberal-friendly outlets like Harris. Plus, he's done press conferences — when is she going to do even one?

Third, Trump offered her another debate on Fox; she turned him down. She doesn't want to go on an outlet that she knows might ask her real questions without the moderators coming to her aid.

Fourth, she wants to talk about "60 Minutes"? Let's talk about that. Does she want to explain why they edited her interview to cut out her word salad answer? Why wouldn't they release the full transcript? What else did they edit or leave out? They aren't even addressing the scandal, which tends to make one think that it must be really bad. Why doesn't she, personally, answer some questions about that?

Not exactly a smart move on her part.

But perhaps most of all, how dare she? The nerve.

She's covered up Joe Biden's cognitive decline for a long time, which has placed the country at risk. She was handed the nomination by an anti-democratic move by the Democratic elite in shoving him aside and, in the process, shoving aside the primary votes of over 14 million people. She didn't get one primary vote from the American people for the nomination for president.

She has no credibility to stand on when it comes to transparency. At this point, she's just desperate to move the needle in her direction because her campaign is imploding, and she will say anything.

There are probably few people more transparent than Trump, who has been willing to speak to anyone to make the case that he is a better candidate.

Her delusional remarks prove that in abundance.
