CBS Headline Is a False Flag (AKA: a Lie). 'CBS Went Full AP...Never Go Full AP'
Ben Stiller is a comedian who has produced and starred in some pretty funny movies. One such movie is the 2008 "Tropic Thunder," which he directed. "Tropic Thunder" (like "Blazing Saddles") could never be made today. In the film, Robert Downey Jr. Plays a “white dude playin’ a black dude." He wears blackface and prosthetics to make him more authentic. His character is a method actor so even when he’s not being “filmed” he remains in character. He says he's a "black dude playin’ white dude, playing a black dude.”
Downey’s character is an “actor” who knows what an actor can and cannot do in character. He laments that a character that Ben Stiller played in another movie went too far. Stiller played a severely mentally-addled man. Downey (the white man playing a black man) tells Stiller: “Everybody knows you never go full retard...you went full retard”.
That phrase has become a meme for never going completely over the cliff. Never say something ridiculous and/or obviously stupid that you get mocked for it. In the world of mainstream media, who are intent on pushing and pulling Kamala over the line, there have been some amazing headlines and stories that don’t match reality.
AP (aka: Associated Propaganda) has been leading the way. AP writers and editors have made no attempt to report news. They report propaganda. AP’s headlines are always slanted left. The words they use in their stories are always slanted left. AP is the gold standard for media hackery.
But CBS is making an October push to catch and pass AP in propaganda reporting. Trust in media is cratering. I submit that CBS (with its editing of Harris’ "60 Minutes" interview) and with this morning's online story, the network has gone full AP. Yep. They went full AP... never go full AP.
CBS’s headlines reads:
FEMA crews threatened amid hurricane relief efforts in North Carolina
Wow. Big if true. It further reports:
Federal Emergency Management Agency crews in North Carolina were forced to relocate due to a reported armed threat against workers, first reported by The Washington Post. Out of an abundance of caution, FEMA said its disaster assistance teams will be stationed at fixed locations instead of going door-to-door, which has been the agency's common practice in the past.
The move comes after an email sent by the U.S. Forest Service to federal responders in Rutherford County, alerted them of an apparent standdown after National Guard troops reportedly encountered armed militia saying they were "hunting FEMA."
Woof, again, big if true. But let’s read the next paragraph in the CBS article.
The North Carolina National Guard sent CBS News the following statement, saying, "The NCNG has no reports of our soldiers or airmen encountering any armed militia, any threats and any type of combatants. We are continuing to serve all those counties in need of our assistance."
Ok, so the National Guard told CBS that the story about armed gangs of men “Goin’ huntin’ fer some FEMA hides” is a lie. The National Guard confirms that it didn't happen, but sorry, AP, CBS writes a sensational headline for clicks anyway. The headline states a “fact” that isn’t remotely accurate – but reports it as a fact - knowing Harris voters will read the headline and tell their friends that armed gangs of KKK-hooded hoodlums have murdered puppies and FEMA people.
CBS then ends the article with some good, old-fashioned Trump bashing, claiming he was spreading misinformation, although that allegation seemingly had nothing to do with the story. You really don't hate the media enough.
My advice to CBS (that it won’t take): CBS, you went full AP... never go full AP.
