THE WAY I SEE IT by Don Polson Red Bluff Daily News 2/18/2020
One-sided hate; two-tier justice
Important
reminder: Congressman Doug LaMalfa will be at Hampton Inn & Suites, Adobe Rd,
this Thursday, the 20th, from 4 to 7 PM for a meet and greet. It will
be a great opportunity to thank Doug for his unwavering support for President
Trump.
Say
there were a half a dozen attacks, verbal and physical, on Muslims, Muslim
women wearing head scarfs or hijabs, men wearing turbans (likely non-Muslim
members of the Sikh faith) and storefront mosques. Envision the nationwide outrage
emanating from the Democrat/Media cabal, especially if there had been social
postings before and after by some Republican offenders. Those would be condemnable
acts.
Yet,
that’s happened for several weeks; the victims have been Trump supporting
Republicans and the attackers Trump-hating leftists. Does that surprise you or
even strike you as “fake news” (remember, the “fake news” term was first thrown
around by the Obama/Hillary people to inflict doubt on reports of Democrat
perfidy)? Here’s a quick compilation:
Look
up “Startling threats and violence against GOP voters: Part of a pattern?” by
Fox News’ Dom Calicchio, Matt London and Vandana Rambaran. If you are a
left-of-center reader and quickly dismissed the reporting because it’s from
Fox, you have been manipulated by the Democrats-with-bylines against thinking
your information sources are slanted to leave out inconvenient (to Democrats) news.
A
Florida man has been charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault for driving
his van into a Republican Party voter registration tent earlier in February. The
vote-collectors jumped out of the way while he maliciously ran over tables and
chairs, made gestures (flipped them off), got out to record his damage and had
not a thought for the injuries he might have caused. He told deputies he
disliked President Trump and “someone had to take a stand.” Political,
ideological terrorists everywhere cheer!
Days
later, a New Hampshire man assaulted a 15-year-old Trump supporter and two
adults volunteering at a polling site; he was charged with disorderly conduct and
simple assault (face slapping) against the “Make America Great Again”-hatted kid.
The adults were trying to intervene for the youth. The offender also threw
Trump campaign signs and tried to knock over their tent. The kid’s mom, while
concerned about political vitriol, said her son was proud and unaware that adults
could be so intolerant.
At
UC Santa Cruz, video recorded and posted on social media showed two protesters
tearing up placards and ripping down signage—including apparently spitting on a
13-star “Betsy Ross” American flag seen on the ground. Republican students were
simply “tabling” for their cause in a public space. Such hate!
Students
for Trump on Arizona’s ASU Tempe campus posted video of a Feb. 5 incident when
an individual repeatedly shouted at a group of conservative students, saying “Slash
Republicans’ throats.”
A
retired New York City police officer was simply enjoying a birthday wearing a MAGA-like
hat, “Make Fifty Great Again,” when a woman came up behind him, spun him around,
punched him, tore his hat off and yelled “How dare you?” In Tennessee, of all
places.
Finally,
a Florida man was sentenced to 90 days in jail and one year of supervised
probation. He slapped the bill of a man’s MAGA hat, yelled “go back to Russia
you f---g communist” and spat on him. I don’t use the weasel word “allegedly”
because I’m not a court, not naming anyone and it all happened.
In
“5 Times Barack Obama Protected His Allies from Justice and Democrats Didn’t
Care,” by pjmedia.com’s Matt Margolis, you can read about the type of justice
common under Barack Obama’s tenure. 1) A locked-in-guilty case of voter
intimidation against members of the New Black Panther Party, from 2008 in
Philadelphia, was so assured the NBP-party members didn’t even show up to
defend themselves. In May 2009, Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder
inexplicably dropped the case. Crickets
from Democrats.
2)
A.G. Holder’s involvement in a blatantly illegal gun-running operation—so
unlawful that the licensed gun dealers being told to illegally sell to ATF
agents wouldn’t do so without assurances of immunity from prosecution—became subject
to bipartisan investigation and contempt of Congress declarations. Obama backed
Holder up and protected him from any legal repercussions.
3)
In 2012, days before the election, ICE agents were ready to arrest an illegal
immigrant and registered sex offender—who was a volunteer intern for N.J. Democratic
U.S. Senator Robert Menendez—but were told by Obama’s DHS to stand down due to
the threat to his reelection.
4)
“In 2009, Barack Obama illegally, “in violation of federal law,” fired Gerald
Walpin, the inspector general for the Corporation for National and Community
Service.” Why? Because Walpin was about to file charges on Obama’s friend and
donor, Kevin Johnson, for his misuse of “federal grant money for AmeriCorps by
funneling it to his personal nonprofit group, paying for political activity,
and using it to pay hush money to underage girls he’d sexually abused.”
5)
Hillary Clinton could not possibly have escaped legal responsibility for
numerous crimes, articulated by James Comey but dismissed for the phony excuse—"lack
of intent”—without Obama’s ok.
President
Trump rightly tweeted on Feb. 9 about the legal double standard: “FBI Director
Wray just admitted that the FISA warrants and surveillance of my campaign were
illegal. So was the fake Dossier.
“Therefore,
the whole scam investigation, the Mueller Report and everything else for three
years was a fixed hoax…This is the biggest political crime in American history…The
party in power illegally spied on my campaign…in order to change or nullify the
results of the election (including) the impeachment.”
Meanwhile,
Andrew McCabe leaked to the press, mislead investigators interviewing him at
least four separate times, some under oath—all crimes, open and shut. McCabe
gets off but Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was prosecuted, found guilty and disgraced—for
the same actions.
