HALLELUJAH! ONLY THREE MORE YEARS OF CLIMATE HECTORING
The climatistas have issued this definitive declaration:
The world has three years to start making significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions or face the prospect of dangerous global warming, experts have warned in an article in the prestigious journal Nature.Calling for world leaders to be guided by the scientific evidence rather than “hide their heads in the sand”, they said “entire ecosystems” were already beginning to collapse, summer sea ice was disappearing in the Arctic and coral reefs were dying from the heat.
So, we can expect that three years from now we won’t have to bother with this hectoring any more? Silly me. . .
Just who are some of these “experts” behind this declaration?
The experts, led by Christiana Figueres, who as Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change played a key role in the Paris Agreement, said they must start to fall rapidly from 2020 at the latest. . .
Figueres, according to her biography, has a masters degree in social anthropology, which obviously makes her an “expert” on climate change. (By the way, I love this detail in her Wikipedia entry about her family with husband Konrad von Ritter: “The couple have two daughters with Arabic names: Naima (March 1988) and Yihana (December 1989).” Surrender early I guess.)
But wait, there’s more! “Experts,” that is:
The article was signed by more than 60 scientists, such as Professor Michael Mann of Pennsylvania State University, politicians, including former Mexican President Felipe Calderon and ex-Irish President Mary Robinson, businesspeople like Paul Polman, chief executive of Unilever, investment managers, environmental campaigners and others.
About the politicized Michael Mann the less said the better. But the point is, this declaration is being promoted more by politicians and “campaigners” than real scientists. I wonder if fake news is causing climate change?
