Don Polson: Saving America, one Tea Party at a time
He's one of the leading authorities, with voluminous research, footnotes and citations, on the radical left and its influence on Barack Obama (Louden's first book in 2011 is 600 pages). He "began exposing (in 1997) the history about those who advised, mentored and operated behind the throne of the 44th President," Barack Obama; they "fall into a wide category of radicals, Marxists, communists, Islamists and Americans." Their goal: overthrow capitalism and our American Republic resulting in our loss of freedom.
Mr. Louden meticulously documents similar connections, alliances and cooperation by Democrat members of Congress with the radical left (his second book is 900 pages, 2013-2015 edition). He "profiles fourteen Senators and more than fifty Representatives and their ties to Communist Party USA (CPUSA), Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), Workers World Party, the Institute for Policy Studies, Council for a Livable World and other radical anti-American organizations."
Remember, readers, that in early 2011, Stanley Kurtz's "Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism" hit the bookshelves and provided an eye-opening, also meticulously researched, account of the efforts of American socialists to rebrand themselves (as "not" socialists) while taking over the Democratic Party. Kurtz, a journalist, social anthropologist and Harvard PhD, recounted how this was openly discussed and planned at meetings and seminars in the 1980s, gatherings that a then-young community organizer, Barack Obama, attended. Any open-eyed analysis of what the Obama-led, progressive-driven Democrats did, with full control of government for 2 years, must acknowledge their leftist agenda.
Another element of the radical leftist power grab, as Mr. Louden describes it, has been the takeover of the AFL-CIO and SEIU labor unions and the pro-illegal immigrant movement by CPUSA and DSA operatives. The unions (and the Democratic Party) began purging moderate union leaders and centrist Democrats (like Joe Lieberman and the Reagan/Dixie-crats). There is no centrist, moderate immigrant movement — they're all pro-amnesty, open-borders groups led by Hispanic radicals.
Funny thing: If America had a news media willing and eager to dig into everyone's backgrounds (every detail of Sarah Palin's or Mitt Romney's life exposed; Barack Obama's — move along, nothing to see here), Americans would have been justifiably outraged. If we had a Republican Party, populated from top leadership to state party organizations with fearless, visionary adherents of American, Tea Party, and constitutional principles—vociferously advocating for said principles and against the anti-Americanism of the radical left—Americans would have a real choice.
Which brings us to Mr. Louden's bottom line: For literally decades, the left, the Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America (the socialist New Party in Chicago endorsed Obama's first campaign), labored, propagandized and organized to produce a Barack Obama presidency and a congressional Democrat majority. They triumphantly expected at least 4 years of unopposed rule; they expected America's economy to recover just as it always had; they cared not a whit if their legislation and policies undermined job-creation. Therefore, they passed a nearly trillion-dollar "stimulus" (slush fund for Democratic state governments and unions), ignored the deleterious effects of deficit spending to economic recovery, ballooned government and regulatory overreach—and passed the "holy grail" of quasi-nationalized health care, i.e. Obamacare. Moreover, Dodd-Frank burdened America's financial system and businesses.
How's that all working? We have the worst recovery since the Great Depression and great dissatisfaction over Obamacare reforms to, and dislocations of, America's health care system. Obama's debt will surpass previous Presidents' combined. Trevor Louden insists that there is no hope for a third party to do anything but assure Democrats of total control, with which they will give 8 million illegal immigrants the vote as soon as legislatively possible. That will usher in generations, in perpetuity, of a leftist, socialist grip on all branches of government. Thinking of Venezuela or China is not a conspiracy-driven, catastrophic fantasy. Just grind America's military into a shadow of its former strength while growing the subsidized, dependency class into a voting majority, and watch China's military might and political influence advance to our shores.
Louden: The Tea Party movement is the only thing that saved America from nearly perpetual leftist rule in 2010. A Tea Party, constitutional, conservative-led Republican Party winning in 2014 and 2016 is the only thing that will begin to roll back the left's forward march.
