This should not, not, be surprising after the basic allure of Obama during election, which rubbed off on Democrats, fades as more people see, with shock, the hard-left tilt once he got elected, combined with the unbridled left-lurch of Dem congressional leaders. 2010 will, I predict, now trend toward another 1994 for Rep's. Remember, polling has shown a consistent 2 to 1, conservative over liberal self-identification by voters...
"More believe Republican Party’s, rather than Democrat Party’s, views are about right
by Jeffrey M. Jones
PRINCETON, NJ -- A Gallup Poll finds a statistically significant increase since last year in the percentage of Americans who describe the Democratic Party's views as being "too liberal," from 39% to 46%. This is the largest percentage saying so since November 1994, after the party's losses in that year's midterm elections."
