THE WAY I SEE IT by Don Polson Red Bluff Daily News 8/22/2023
Democrat-designed J6
riots; election-changing fraud; Trump/Biden-economics; Oliver Anthony—voice of
the people
First, let’s acknowledge that songwriter/singer Oliver Anthony’s “Rich
Men North of Richmond” arises out of a troubled man in deeply troubling times.
Those trying to diminish his angst-filled ballad by making an issue of his
admitted “bad” side (gee, admitting to being a “sinner,” how refreshing) are
asking us to ignore the entire history of American music.
You can’t find a single genre or period of music that did not arise out
of “troubles” (as in “nobody knows…”) or an uplifting (or not) reaction to war,
destitution, and personal tragedy. Some of the same people criticizing Anthony’s
railing at the obliviousness of wealthy “rulers” in our nation’s capital and
its richest-in-nation surrounding counties—powerful elites wanting to “have
total control/wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do”—those same
people look admiringly at folk icons like Woodie Guthrie, Communist that he
was.
His critics also seem blind to the cultural darkness in rap and hop-hop
with its racist lyrics (give me a dollar for every gratuitous use of the n-word
and I’ll buy a high-end sports car), and misogynist treatment of women as
sexual objects (“WAP” by Cardi B.=Wet Ass Pussy; really?).
Some object to his criticism of “food stamp” and welfare leaches—“And the
obese milkin’ welfare…if you’re 5-foot-3 and you’re 300 pounds; Taxes ought not
to pay for your bags of fudge rounds”—because some folks need help through no
fault of their own. There is no system in existence that “redistributes” money
from those who earn it to those who don’t that isn’t rife with abuse.
Brilliant economist Thomas Sowell ranked spending: You are frugal and
keen to get your money’s worth when spending your money on yourself; not so
much when spending it on someone else you know; even less when spent on someone
you don’t know—with the lowest level of concern for value when someone you
don’t know spends your money on someone else you don’t know. Recipients of
other people’s money inherently have the least regard for how it’s spent.
There’s nothing done by the welfare system that couldn’t be more
efficiently, more humanely done by private charities.
On the Democrat-facilitated January 6 Capitol riots: Anyone that damaged
property or assaulted police on that day should be tried, convicted and
sentenced to punishments commensurate with those handed down to antifa and BLM
rioters and arsonists—oh, that would mean they get off with light sentences, if
not “scot-free.”
You see, I favor punishments for crimes no matter the perpetrator. Excessive
sentencing for those simply “parading” in the Capitol without committing other
crimes is as unjust as the violent rioters and arsonists in the 2020 “George
Floyd protests” getting little or no jail time.
In “Was the Capitol Riot Allowed to Happen for Political Purposes?” unanswered
questions pose serious accusations: https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2023/08/12/was-the-capitol-riot-allowed-to-happen-for-political-purposes-n1718721 It’s incomprehensible
that Speaker Pelosi and Mayor Bowser—they’re both Democrats—rejected at least
10,000 National Guard troops offered by President Trump.
They beefed up fencing and security for the Supreme Court’s overturning
of Roe v. Wade. Looks to me like they wanted lax security for nefarious
reasons. Did they have reason to believe that federal/local agents and antifa
would agitate and foment violence—“helping” create the chaotic images we all
saw?
However, 1) vast numbers of peaceful protesters were escorted through the
building by uniformed officers who clearly saw no crimes; 2) a significant
number of undercover federal and local officers and informants/assets were
present around the Capitol—"the J6 crowd was filled wiith federal agents," stated former Capitol Police Chief Sund;
3) Footage from inside was not provided by the feds to defendants’
lawyers because the FBI admitted that it would have revealed plain clothes
officers’ identities; 4) identifiable individuals clearly instigating violence
are seen in recordings but have never been subject to arrest—like one Ray Epps
seen telling someone to breach the metal barriers.
5) Chief Sund was inexplicably left out of the intelligence loop when
multiple serious threats were uncovered—his ability to provide available
National Guard troops equipped for crowd control was cancelled.
The above revelations from Tucker Carlson’s interview with Chief Sund
prompted this from Carlson: “What?” he asked. “So, I mean, if you were — and I’m
not — if you were conspiracy-minded, you might think that certain agencies
concluded there was likely to be chaos at the Capitol, and that served their
political purposes. And so they let it happen and they prevented you from
stopping it.”
Yes, there are “conspiracy theories,” but there are actual conspiracies.
“Five 2020 election irregularities, illegalities that collide with Jack
Smith’s Trump indictment,” at https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/elections/5-election-illegalities-2020-presidential-election-contradicting-trump points
to election “rigging” up to and including fraud and theft.
From the article: 1) Drop boxes—found illegal in Wisconsin and
objectively illegal anywhere they were not authorized by the legislature; 2) A
foreign intrusion by two Iranian nationals who hacked into an unnamed state
computer election system, and stole 100,000 voter registrations; 3) The Hunter
Biden laptop lie by “51 Intelligence experts” who called it “Russian
disinformation.” About 10 percent of Biden voters—had they known— would not
have voted for him, flipping all six swing states and giving Trump 311
electoral votes;
4) Illegal exemptions from voter ID, allowing perhaps 200,000 voters to
skip the ID over COVID; 5) In Fulton County, Georgia, two dozen pages worth of
mismanagement and irregularities during vote counting were documented. Use the
