THE WAY I SEE IT by Don Polson Red Bluff Daily News 10/20/2020
Deceptive
webs woven throughout
Before a weekly review
of the multitude of deceptions facing Americans in trying times, a hearty
endorsement is owed to Congressman Doug LaMalfa and State Assemblyman James
Gallagher. Doug has never let the Republicans in his district down as he served
in both the majority as well as the minority in Washington, D.C. If the “red
wave” sweeps not only President Trump to reelection, but also an expanded
Senate, we can vote to put our people back in charge of the House of
Representatives. Doug will advance our interests.
James Gallagher has,
together with Rocklin Republican Kevin Kiley, acted to restore the rule of
law—not “men” as in the personal dictates of Gov. Gavin Newsom—by legal action,
hoping a judge will consider that the Wu-flu pandemic is no justification for
suspending our constitutions. James is, like Doug, reflective of the best
conservative, family and political values around—reelect both.
The economies of
Republican-voting states (6.6% unemployment) far surpass the Democrat ones
(10.5% unemployment). The efforts of those, like Gallagher, LaMalfa and Trump—to
open economies and end the deadly, crushing COVD-19 lockdowns—are indeed
heroic.
A reminder: The
Republican headquarters is open most of the time on weekdays, at the old Snack Box
location, south of the Catholic church on the west side of Main St. I believe
they have campaign materials and certainly camaraderie and political
fellowship—volunteer yourself.
While in the
endorsement mode—the local “choir” hardly needs “preaching” about the
President’s record that highly recommends his reelection—let no one doubt the
objective, empirical case for Trump. I urge you to look up “Trump is the
Integrity Candidate,” by Conrad Black (October 12, Amgreatness.com), if you are
already a supporter but, more importantly, if you are an independent (still)
undecided voter.
Progressive-but-persuadable
Democrats can gain also, because (as Black states): “Improbable as it often
seems, and whatever his failings, in this election Donald Trump is the
candidate of honesty, competence, and legality.” Setting aside Trump’s
triumphalism, exaggeration and factual inaccuracies (which pale compared to lies
his opponents tell about him), he told the truth about having nothing to do
with Russian collusion, conspiracy or coordination to “steal” the 2016
election. He kept his promises.
While Mexico is not
writing checks to fund the border wall, they have over 10,000 troops on the
border to help stem illegal entry into America—which has been reduced by 90
percent. Over time, together with tough employer sanctions, state and federal
budgets will be relieved of the burden of welfare and other benefits going to
illegals; the wages of Americans and legal immigrants are rising as employers
must pay market hourly rates to attract workers rediscovering the value and
pride of a job.
Trump exercised
competence through pushing for lower taxes, cutting regulations and getting
trading partners to accept deals more beneficial to America and our workers.
Result: the best economy in modern history, lowest unemployment and higher
wages for all.
Trump’s opponents
cannot point to a single law he has broken, having abided by every judicial decision
over his actions, while seeking the overturning of those he disagreed with. A.G.
Barr, Prosecutor Durham, and time, will tell if what was done to try prevent
Trump’s 2016 win—and undermine his presidency with attempts to unlawfully
remove him from office through a coup—broke laws such that those involved face
fines and jail. Let the indictments flow like cleansing water through the halls
of justice and federal law enforcement. That will all be “memory-holed” if Dems
win.
Black: “In running
against the system that he said had substantially broken down, Donald Trump has
revealed just how badly it has broken down; the FBI and the intelligence
agencies were politically corrupted for the first time in the history of the
country. The media has reduced itself to a subterranean level of dishonesty.
The public is having difficulty seeing the issues distinctly. It is not just
high office but the right of Americans to be confident the system works as it
should, and as it was intended to do, that are at stake.”
It’s fundamentally
dishonest for CNN to cancel an invitation to Ice Cube, the rapper and actor, to
share his ideas for economically helping the Black community—just because he
also shared those ideas with President Trump’s team. Ice Cube—disrespected by
leftist, “cancel culture” hacks at CNN—had an idea accepted by Trump: multi-billion-dollar
funding for Black-owned businesses.
He’s no Trump fan but
approves the “Platinum Plan” goal “to help black Americans close the enormous
wealth gap.” Fanatical Trump-haters, however, have mercilessly castigated Ice
Cube for the temerity and sin of having an open heart and mind towards Trump’s
plan.
The emails on Hunter
Biden’s “abandoned-to-a-repairman” laptop, with no factual, credible dispute,
have provided a timely “exhibit A” of the corruption of the Biden family:
“Hunter Biden demanded Chinese billionaire pay $10 million for ‘introductions
alone,’ emails show,” by R. Scarborough (Washingtontimes.com, 10/15). H. Biden
to his daughter, Naomi, 1/03/19, “I Hope you all cal (sic) do what I did and
pay for everything for this entire family Fro (sic) 30 years. It’s really hard.
But don’t worry unlike Pop I won’t make you give me half your salary.” Rudy
Giuliani: “This describes the amount kicked back to the Boss, Joe Biden, as
happens in every organized crime group.”
“Smoking-gun email
reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad,” by
Emma-Jo Morris and Gabrielle Fonrouge (10/14, Nypost.con). Joe Biden’s (provable?)
lies—denying having anything to do with, or even knowledge of, Hunter’s corrupt
Ukrainian energy dealings—disqualify Biden from holding any position in, let
alone as president of, America’s government.
