THE WAY I SEE IT by Don Polson Red Bluff Daily News 10/12/2021
Hypocrisy,
duplicity on China, Trump
Slave labor in China, often
after subjecting victims to torture, produces solar panels using coal-fired
power for processing. You would expect various groups to take fierce objection
to some aspect of that reality:
1) Isn’t it economically
counterproductive for solar panels made in China, rather than America, to be the
centerpiece of what we are told is the existential fight against human-caused
global warming? 2) Surely, the purists in that fight wouldn’t conscience relying
on “dirty” coal power for our solar power, would they? 3) With our heightened
awareness, and justifiable condemnation, of slavery in America’s distant past,
how can slavery in China not draw the ire of the “racial justice” crowd?
4) While many on the
left have no sympathy for religion or the faithful, they seem accepting of
Islam. Isn’t it bothersome that China openly persecutes and tortures Uyghur
Muslims for their beliefs, on the virtual railroad boxcar trip to one of a
hundred internment camps, called “vocational training centers”?
“Graduates” of said
camps become workers making America’s solar panels, using coal-fired electricity;
the entire process doesn’t disturb our “enlightened” elites. Is it just, as Vladimir
Lenin said, breaking eggs to make an omelet? Can our progressive thought-leaders
really believe in China’s moral and “Communist” economic superiority? Admiration
oozes from their writings and words.
We know the above from,
among other sources, a former Chinese policeman (“Jiang”) living in exile in
Europe, whose story, observations and experiences were included in a telegraph.co.uk/world-news
article (10/05). Among “150,000 police recruits staffing detention centres in Xinjiang…he
was quickly disillusioned by abuse carried out against detainees as young as
14,” describing the torture in terms not suitable for this paper.
“One of the strangest
phenomena of our time is the whitewashing of the Chinese Communist Party by
American liberals. Fifty years ago, everyone knew that the CCP was vicious,
cruel and evil. But over the years, economic self-interest–the desire to take
advantage of what is at best low-wage labor, and at worst slave labor–has
triumphed over moral judgment.” From “The Chinese Communists are Evil,”
powerlineblog.com, 10/09. Name any U.S. leader aside from President Donald J. Trump
that seriously tried to rein in China’s inexorable march to dominance of the
world and our own dear nation.
Things China-related
sort Americans onto sides, either accepting reality or not. Likewise, Donald
Trump sorts Americans into polarized camps—from his sharp-tongued and -tweeted campaign
to his impeachment-bedeviled presidency to his reelection loss (in a contest
rigged against him in multiple ways, absent which he would have won in a
landslide). This writer is anti-China, pro-Trump, and loves every minute of a
Trump rally.
Set the dubious
election results aside—the Arizona audit not only revealed illegally-handled,
mistakenly-processed, fraud-inducing ballots equaling five times Joe Biden’s
10,500-vote “win,” but also county officials admitting, in congressional
testimony, to erasing legally subpoenaed election records essential to the
audit.
Up to 20 percent of polled
Democrats affirmed that—had they been informed of the corruption revealed in
the (now proven real, not Russian disinformation) Hunter Biden laptop emails—they
would not have voted for China-phile, doddering, basement-dwelling Joe Biden.
Moreover, if Trump received the flattering treatment over COVID now given Biden,
instead of thoroughly dishonest blame, he’d have won.
An objective view of
the 4-year long political campaign, “jihad” even, against Trump finds no true substance
to it. Surprising no one on Trump’s side, the 26-page indictment of Clinton-DNC
lawyer Michael Sussman reveals the total fabrication of the Trump-Russia
collusion narrative—from Hillary Clinton’s desire to distract from her “server”
scandal, to the DNC, Perkins Coie law firm, Fusion GPS, British spy Christopher
Steele, James Comey, the Mueller investigation, and the Adam Schiff-show impeachment.
All dastardly lies.
Remove that—and the phony
scandal over Trump’s unremarkable call to Ukraine’s president—from his 4-year
term and you’d have seen Trump handily reelected. Beyond the utter hoax that
was the Russian collusion story, the news media proved to all but the jaded,
political left that journalism on a national level has morphed into little more
than the P.R. arm of the Democrat Party, “useful idiots” advancing a “Marxist” America.
The paramount lesson
and purpose of the above is to induce indelible skepticism of what those same
sources of news, analysis and opinion, as well as progressive cultural
advocates, now affirm with utmost certainty about President-ish Joe Biden, vaccine
and mask mandates, and the weaknesses of Biden’s economy. Five trillion in new
spending is designed to “transform” America, not rebuild it.
Micro-monitoring $600
bank transactions is fallaciously described as “recovering hidden income” of
the rich. “Do you distrust the American people so much that you need to know
when they bought a couch? Or a cow?” asked Sen. Cynthia Lumis of Treasury Sec.
Janet Yellen. More economic activity will go “off the books.”
Jimmy Carter’s policy-created
“stag-flation” and observed “malaise” will arise like a TV rerun as the same
ideology and political party drives proven-failed massive government spending,
economy-strangling regulation and Wuhan flu-inspired controls. The unlimited immigration,
expanded welfare redistribution, and so-called “green energy” subsidies
designed to combat the vanishing “global warming” crisis—are all fed to lying
mouthpieces in the media-academic-political classes as if they either cost “zero”
or only “the rich” will pay. Lies.
What kind of government
wants access—with thinly veiled and historically malign treatment of political
foes (i.e. IRS persecution of the Tea Party)—to so many citizens’ financial
records. It brings the ability to selectively haul those of the government’s choosing
before tribunals where they’ll be “guilty until proven innocent”? We on the
right know, and those on the left should suspect, it’s despotism by any name.
