THE WAY I SEE IT by Don Polson Red Bluff Daily News 7/13/2021
The
left’s leaders, ideas and values
Well, the Democrat
Party has had its own “Weird Al” for decades. “Weird Al” Yankovic, known for his
musical parodies and polka medleys, adopted the moniker. An acquired comedic
taste, if you’ve never watched “UHF,” it’s a whirlwind of satire and ludicrous
plot twists. Plus, a pre-“Seinfield” Michael Richards unleashes one of the most
over-the-top, wild-eyed, and frenetic performances ever.
Most Democrats wouldn’t
know how “weird” was their one-time U.S. Senator and 1992 vice presidential
candidate, Al Gore. The mental image of an open-robed “Weird Al” Gore, looking
to have his “happy-ending” massage, may have been forgotten, though it was
credibly reported. Add the bizarre twist of logic for the creator of the book
and movie, “Inconvenient Truth,” with its projection of seas rising 20-30 feet,
purchasing an ocean front mansion.
So, how weird was it
for Al Gore to become the Veep candidate—and have literally no friends, by his
own admission? Democratic operative, Harry McPherson, helped Daily Beast’s Gary
Ginsberg (author “FIRST FRIENDS”) vet Gore to be Clinton’s running mate.
Not counting two fellow
congressmen and a brother-in-law, Gore had no friends that he liked, relaxed with,
travelled or drank with; no friends from Carthage, Harvard, Nashville or
anywhere outside of Capitol Hill. Dems insisted Al Gore beat G.W. Bush and
pined for Gore’s leadership for 4 years.
Elections, remember, are only stolen by Republicans named Bush and Trump—and, in Georgia, Brian Kemp, says electoral loser Stacey Abrams. Hillary Clinton insists to this day—without a hint of self-awareness of her and the DNC’s role in the fabrications contained in the “Steele Dossier” that fueled years of investigations, reports, suspicions, accusations and impeachment—that the presidency was “stolen” from her.
Democrats in Congress
challenged the counting of Electors for Bush and Trump with no calls for their punishment,
banning, “cancelling” or defunding by the media, Hollywood, corporations or
academia. Don’t some otherwise sane, sensible and intellectually honest Democrats—in
their quiet, private moments—doubt that they are following leaders with
veracity, credibility and American values?
Or realize Trump was
right about a lot? I’ve listed it all. Or what a presidential dumpster fire
they had with Barack Obama? That’s not likely given the shameless, transparent
effort by C-SPAN’s survey of presidential historians to paint Trump in the
starkest, and Obama in the most flattering, terms. Two Princeton University
historians claimed Barack Obama was a bipartisan president, as “his political
temperament led him to seek out compromise positions with Republicans from the
outset.”
Really? Obamacare was
crafted by shutting out Republicans and any of their ideas; it got one House
and zero Senate votes. “(Republicans) can join us. They can come for a ride,
but they gotta sit in back.” They ran the economy into the ditch, he said, and “don’t
know how to drive…gotta ride in the backseat…you can’t have the keys back.” Obama’s
stimulus got zero House and two Senate Republican votes.
“Let’s consider the
facts. Obama presided over the worst economic recovery since the Great
Depression, and stagnant wages and low labor force participation plagued his
entire presidency. An incredible 95 percent of the jobs created on his watch
were part-time or contract jobs. America’s credit rating was downgraded for the
first time in history on Obama’s watch. And let’s not forget the record
deficits he accumulated…Some of Obama’s many scandals during his presidency: the
Senate seat for sale scandal, the green energy loans scandal, Fast &
Furious, the VA backlog scandal, the Benghazi attack cover-up, the Iran ransom
scandal, the IRS scandal, and Spygate.
“Or how about August
2014, when 47 of 73 inspectors general wrote an open letter to Congress
informing them that the Obama administration was obstructing investigations.
Such a letter was unprecedented, and the systemic corruption and obstruction
would have been considered an impeachable offense for almost any other
president. In fact, several of his scandals were impeachable.” “Scandal-free
Obama” is a major oxymoron.
Perhaps that’s why Joe
Biden likes the phrase. Hunter Biden’s laptop emails reveal a family money
machine whereby the name “Biden” became the “Golden Ticket” for son Hunter to
rake in and distribute many millions in cash from Ukraine, China, Mexico etc.—with
a hefty cut going to “the big guy,” Joe Biden, who gets to live like the top 0.1
percent on a government paycheck. Now, Hunter’s “artistic talents” fetch unreal
sums from unnamed buyers for unrevealed distribution. Are you Democrats really
cool with all that? Or keeping your heads firmly in sand?
Statistical experts analyzed
polling results where Democrats were asked if they would have voted for Biden
if they had been informed (by some institution devoted to finding things out
and telling the public?) about Hunter Biden’s corruption and the thinly-veiled
role father Joe played. Based on the percentages of Dems that wouldn’t have voted
for Biden/Harris (10 to 20 percent) in each of the six swing states, Trump would
have won each state comfortably, and the Electoral College solidly.
Take away 10 percent of
Biden’s national vote and Trump wins by over a million votes; take away 20 percent
and Trump wins the popular vote by over 9 million.
Between 10,300 and
35,000 illegal votes were cast in Georgia (Biden +11,779) by those unlawfully
voting in precincts not their own (Margot Cleveland, The Federalist). 101,789 “obsolete”
voters and 18,486 dead people were on the voting rolls. News media ignores it
all to keep Biden’s legitimacy intact. I know Democrats “stole” any state where
they fight, resist, sue and ignore judicial subpoenas to produce 2020 election
materials for forensic audit and examination. I provided “evidence” in 10
columns on that election’s fraud. Biden isn’t going away; neither is Donald J.
Trump.
