“What a creep. What a jerk.”

“What a creep. What a jerk.”

by Scott Johnson in Elon MuskMediaTim Walz

Yesterday’s Special Report included at least some of Bret Baier’s interview with Elon Musk. The interview with Musk must have taken place either before or after the sit-down with Musk and senior leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency team that I posted here yesterday. The clip below shouted out to me. In it Musk nails the case of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz: “What a creep. What a jerk.” As a famous poet once put it, “What oft was thought, but ne’er so well express’d.”

Maher rails against NPR

Maher rails against NPR

by Bill Glahn in Media

No, really, it happened! The full headline from The Hill reads,

Maher rails against NPR CEO, calls for public media funding cuts.

I don’t watch the show very often, but it seems every Saturday after HBO airs a new episode of liberal Bill Maher’s show Real Time on Friday night, my timeline fills with Maher’s latest crimes against the liberal orthodoxy.

This week the show’s host went after the sacred cow of state-funded media and the (unrelated) NPR CEO who shares his last name. The Hill quotes the HBO host,

I also read my namesake, Katherine Maher — head of NPR — and, you know, she said, ‘We’re completely unbiased.’ Give me a break, lady.

Bill Maher didn’t stop there,

I mean, they’re crazy far-left. So, I mean, I think we’re past, my view, we’re past the age really, where the government, first of all, why do we need to subsidize — why can’t we have outlets like this and we’re so polarized.

In these now weekly departures from the party line, I’m always curious to hear what the instant reactions from Bill Maher’s in-studio panelists are to his latest “shocking” pronouncements.

I turn to the UK Daily Mail, who reports,

McWhorter agreed that the publication shouldn’t be federally funded and joked that even his nine-year-old daughter noticed that NPR consistently reports ‘the same thing.’

That New York Times? Will miracles never cease?

The Democratic Party is polling about 27 percent approval -- and sinking.

In 2024, it lost the White House, the House of Representatives, the Senate, and both the popular vote and the Electoral College, 312-226.

In 2024, Donald Trump won over 46% of the Hispanic vote, including a majority of Hispanic men. Trump also likely captured 26% of the Black male vote, doubling his 2020 total.

In 2024, Trump increased his 2020 vote total in every single state. And he won 89% of all the counties in the United States.

On every issue, Democrats sided with strident leftist movements rather than the majority of Americans.

They supported globalism over nationalism, high-priced green energy over lower gas and electricity prices, and an open border and 12 million unaudited illegal aliens over security and legal-only immigration.

They seem unconcerned with our $36 trillion debt or the deterrence lost abroad that led to two theater-wide existential wars.

Democrats stay mum about unfair trade and budget deficits. They prefer the Black Lives Matter fixation on the color of our skin rather than Martin Luther King's emphasis on the content of our character.

They support allowing biological men to overpower women in female sports events -- in opposition to 80% of the electorate.

Democrats faced choices after their catastrophic defeat last year.

One, they could have stopped the hemorrhaging of their base of 18-30-year-olds, Black men, Hispanics, and independents by moving toward the center.

They even could have worked with Trump and perhaps sought to take credit for joint successes.

Instead, they doubled down on "resistance" through street-theater terror-chic.

Democrat senators cut a group attack video, each echoing the potty word "sh*t."

In a House ad, Democratic female members mimicked ninjas, kicking and punching at the camera, as if hitting their Republican opponents.

Former vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz boasts about kicking the "ass" of Republicans.

"Assh*ole" is now the standard Democratic epithet for Musk, as voiced by Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly. "D*ck" is the preferred Musk slur from Minnesota Sen. Tina Smith.

Xenophobia is also now Democratic chic.

Walz smears Musk, an American citizen, as a "South African nepo baby."

Other Democratic representatives question Musk's loyalty, asking, "Which country is he (Musk) loyal to?"

Or they further boast, "We're (Democrats) going to send Elon back to South Africa."

An unhinged Rep. Maxine Waters shouts that she wants First Lady Melania Trump deported, given she too is a naturalized citizen.

But those theatrics have now escalated into near overt support for violence.

Democrats are blocking the deportation of dangerous illegal aliens affiliated with the terrorist-designated Tren de Aragua.

They try to stop the deportation of resident alien Mahmoud Khalil -- arch Hamas supporter, apologist for the murderers of October 7, and a spokesman for the most violent student group at Columbia.

To stop Musk's advisory Department of Government Efficiency and its identification of government waste, fraud, and abuse, leftist cabals are now terrorizing Musk's Tesla brand nationwide.

They seek to destroy cars, dealerships, and charging stations. Individual Tesla owners are sometimes tailed, confronted, and threatened.

Democrats claim no formal role in such terror -- but more or less seem to approve of its ends and means.

Left-wing comic Jimmy Kimmel winks and nods on national television about the current violent Tesla terrorist campaign.

Tim Walz celebrates the resulting drop in the Tesla stock price. As Minnesota's governor overseeing his state's sizable investment in Tesla, Walz could care less about trash-talking his own taxpayers' investments.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett boasts that Musk "must be taken down."

She brags she wants to physically assault Sen. Ted Cruz, who "has to be knocked over the head, like hard" -- adding "I think you punch, I think you (sic) OK with punching."

Crockett even mocked disabled and wheelchair-bound Texas governor Greg Abbott: "You all know we got Gov. Hot Wheels down there. ... And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot-ass mess, honey."

Former Democratic House member and once-censured Rep. Jamaal Bowman claimed Musk was a "Nazi" and an "incompetent thief."

Democrat Rep. Al Green was censured by the House for disrupting the Trump joint address to Congress -- and led away screaming and shaking his cane at the president in failed efforts to shut down the speech.

Senator minority leader Chuck Schumer, who once issued threats to Supreme Court justices Neal Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh by name, now boasts, "We have people going to the Republican districts and going after these Republicans who are voting for this and forcing them to either change their vote or face the consequences."

Furious at their own increasing impotence, these contemporary Democrat Jacobins are dabbling with their own version of a reign of smut terror.

They are probably too impotent to derail the country, but they are certainly destroying themselves.

Here's the Number of Californians Open to Voting Republican in Next Year's Election

Here's the Number of Californians Open to Voting Republican in Next Year's Election

AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes

I’ll believe it when I see it, but the sentiment that things have gone off the rails in California is believable. Notable progressives, like Bill Maher, have railed about the mountains of tape they endure, along with the high taxes, only to get sub-par services, outright incompetence, corruption, and shambolic responses to natural disasters. The Los Angeles County wildfires shook many people, especially since it seemed the state could not do anything right; the mayor, Karen Bass, wasn’t even in the country.

Next year, the state will elect a new governor, and right now, about half of California residents say they’re open to voting Republican based on some polling data released last week (via KABC):

New polling released Thursday shows voters across California are feeling what is being called “the Trump Effect”, rejecting years of Democrat policies. Nearly half of likely California voters say they would consider voting for a Republican for Governor in 2026 (Republican party voter registration in California is just 25%). Polling was conducted in California over March 6th to 9th of likely Nov. 2026 voters by David Wolfson, a national Pollster, and Faculty Lecturer at Columbia University’s Political Analytics Graduate Program sponsored by the media firm Madison McQueen.

Other stunning findings show California’s Democrat Leaders are out touch:

  •  83% of voters said gas prices are too high in California
  • 73% support fully funding anti-crime Prop. 36, which State Democrat Leaders have refused to do
  • 72% feel homelessness still is a big problem after years of Democrat control Sacramento
  •  71% believe the Democrats in charge have not addressed the state’s high cost of living
  • 69% think Democrats in Sacramento have not done enough to bring down energy/utility costs
  • 62% support a “full independent investigation” of the recent Los Angeles Wildfires
  • Only 24% of Californians think males (transgender) should compete in female sports.

Again, let’s wait and see, as 2026 is a long way off. Yet, we have another data point showing that the Democrats’ doubling down on the transgender nonsense was a gross miscalculation. It’s no Rosa Parks 2.0 moment—an issue that makes them all look insane. This data doesn’t provide any solid footing for whoever the Democrats pick as their candidate in the next gubernatorial election. It’s pretty dismal.

For now, it looks like Democrats have burned their election hopes to ash.

Democrats are not going to be able to climb out of their political hole until they give up this fantasy that biological men pretending to be women are, indeed, women. It’s science fiction, a brutal perversion of reality and facts to cater to the insane whims of a sect that’s mentally ill. The doubling down on this issue has only led to Democrats being viewed as extremist and unhinged. No one supports this, and the polling doesn’t lie.

Men pretending to be women cannot and should not be allowed in spaces and activities meant for biological females. It’s not bigoted. It’s reality. That’s life. Yet, in Pennsylvania, there are some in the state legislature who think there isn't any difference between men and women in sports (via Fox News):

Pennsylvania Democrat state senator Lindsey Williams gave controversial testimony at the state capitol on Wednesday while opposing a bill that would ban trans athletes from girls sports.

Williams, in prepared remarks ahead of the committee vote on the Save Women's Sports Act, suggested that female athletes are physically comparable to male athletes, and don't face biological disadvantages.

"I want all girls to know that there are elected officials like me who believe female bodies are just as strong and fast and capable as male bodies," Williams said.

"I want all girls to know there are elected officials like me who would never underestimate your ability to beat a boy at their own sport, because that's what the premise of this bill assumes, that female bodies are less than male bodies, that girls are at an automatic disadvantage, and can't possibly compete against boys. Even though girls do it every day. "

[…]

A recent New York Times/Ipsos survey found the vast majority of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, don't think transgender athletes should be permitted to compete in women's sports. Of the 2,128 people polled, 79% said biological males who identify as women should not be allowed to participate in women's sports.

Of the 1,025 people who identified as Democrats or leaning Democrat, 67% said transgender athletes should not be allowed to compete with women.

The people have spoken on this, guys. There’s no difference between men and women, really? It’s defies logic, but the longer Democrats think that they can bully us into believing this nonsense, the longer they’ll remain in the wilderness.

2024's Big Message — The Kids Are All Right

Top O' the Briefing

Happy Tuesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Aldowynse felt that public shaming was in order for neighbors who were too free and easy with the jorts and grocery cakes at potluck time.

Countless articles have been written in the past couple of months — some of them by me — about the sorry state of the Democratic Party here in the year of our Lord 2025. It's not just that they lost to the man who haunted their dreams and every waking moment; it's how they lost. Coming to grips with that is at the heart of their confusion.

In my lifetime, Democrats have relied on a few voting blocs to get them by in every election, like black voters, Latino voters, union workers, and the much talked about youth vote. Dems don't see people, they see electoral demographics. They talk a good game, pretending they care about minorities, workers, and young people, and their grandiose promises to all of them worked for a very long time.

Last year's presidential election changed a lot of that. Trump peeled off voters who the Democrats had taken for granted for decades. I've written for years that the Democratic elites live in fear of minority voters waking up and realizing that they'd been used. It didn't happen en masse in 2024, but it was noticeable.

Even more noticeable was how many of those voters were young. The youth vote was a bit of a political unicorn for a long time. It was much sought after but rarely materialized in numbers that would move the needle. That's changing now. Young men in particular are losing interest in the Democrats. Yesterday, Scott wrote a detailed breakdown of just how the Dems have been pushing young American men away. He also contrasted it with how the Donald Trump version of the GOP appeals to them:

Meanwhile, consider the MAGA pitch to men: You’ve got Donald Trump at UFC events, backslapping the baddest motherbleepers on the planet. When Trump was pierced by a bullet, he rose to his feet, raised his fist to the heavens, and yelled, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” And today, through DOGE and executive orders, he’s removing the obstacles, regulations, waste, and overhead that make life tougher for young men.

That's quite a difference from the party of Dylan Mulvaney and Rachel Levine. As Scott points out in his post, it's pretty easy to figure out why young males are voting Republican, but the Democrats and their apologists are struggling with the obvious.

Chris wrote a post about some polling that offers more insights into the left-to-right migration of young voters. There's a lot to chew on there, but this really stood out to me:

“Young voters still say their personal experiences, family members, and faith are most influential in determining their views on political issues,” noted Brown. “Among young conservatives, 19 percent said their religious beliefs were what they listened to most, compared to just three percent of liberals. Despite claims that those who shifted to the right in 2024 were merely brainwashed by the likes of Ben Shapiro or Joe Rogan, it was instead a conscious choice informed by their own experiences, families, and religion.”

The young'uns aren't voting blind, it would seem. They may even be more thoughtful than their elders. It's encouraging that their greater engagement has them moving rightward.

I heard and saw a lot — and I do mean a lot — of anecdotal evidence about the youth of America moving to Trump and the Republicans last year. When he came to Tucson for a rally in September, the crowd was filled with university-aged kids whose enthusiasm gave the appearance of rock-concert energy. It was over 100 degrees and they were cheerfully standing in line and acting like they were waiting to get into the party of the year.

Now it's up to the Grand Old Party to figure out how to keep the young voters it has and bring even more over to the right side. The way President Trump and his administration are delivering on campaign promises will work wonders in achieving both objectives, no doubt.

It's a great comfort knowing that the Democrats' public education indoctrination efforts and myriad attempts to buy the youth vote with taxpayer-funded "freebies" aren't working. If we can just keep the Dems' commie fingers off of the Constitution for a long time, the future of the Republic looks bright indeed.
