Forget the two “counts” against President Trump in the Senate trial that begins today, the reality is he is charged with only one crime.
He is accused of being Donald J. Trump.
For that high crime, the Democrats say, he must be removed from office.
The Democrat “House managers” are going to get 24 hours over the next two days to lay out their opening arguments, but how are they going to fill that time, considering that they’re not even accusing him of committing any crimes?
Certainly no actual felonies — you know, Bill Clinton stuff like obstruction of justice, perjury and subornlng perjury.
They just accuse him of being … Donald J. Trump.
For that they need 24 hours?
How are Schiff, Nadler, et al., going to fill those hours? Are they going to talk about how he puts ketchup on steaks? And then orders two scoops of ice cream for dessert?
Considering all the airtime they have to fill, maybe the Democrats can include a Greatest Hits compilation of all the other fake-news fantasies they’ve entertained over the last three years for getting rid of Trump:
Jill Stein’s recount (before Hillary was accused of being a Russian asset), faithless electors, emoluments clause, the 25th Amendment, Hillary’s fake dossier, the Russian hoax, firing crooked James Comey, senile Bob Mueller and his 19 angry Democrats, Michael Cohen, Michael Avenatti (pre-indictments), Stormy Daniels, Brett Kavanaugh frame-up, tax returns, loans guaranteed by Russian oligarchs … .
And now, the Ukraine hoax.
What are the high crimes and misdemeanors committed by Trump? Record high numbers of Americans working, the stock market at record highs. Favorable trade deals, ISIS destroyed, millions off welfare and food stamps.
One thing we’ve learned since Nov. 9, 2016: Everything the Democrats accuse Trump of doing is exactly what they’re scheming to do. Everything they say they want, what they really desire is the absolute opposite.
So now when Chuck Schumer says he desires a “fair trial,” you can figure out that means. The Democrats want to play by Mafia rules: what’s ours is ours and what’s yours is ours. Everybody’s figured it out, except maybe Mitt Romney and Susan Collins.
The Democrats have the transcript of the conversation between Trump and the Ukrainian president, and their own angry Democrat witness, the Soviet-born colonel, says it’s an accurate recounting of the conversation.
And there’s no quid pro quo. When the Soviet-born Democrat admitted that there was no there there, shouldn’t that have been the end of this latest Democrat hoax? But no, they just persisted, to coin a phrase. That’s why pathological liar Adam Schiff felt he had to read into the record a totally fabricated account of the innocuous conversation, as if he were a fake-news metro columnist for the Boston Globe.
If this is a real scandal, why are the Democrats hiding the so-called “whistleblower,” another pathological liar who claimed the president was demanding something of the Ukrainians. And why won’t the Democrats release the transcript of the sworn testimony of the inspector general of the so-called intelligence community, another treacherous Democrat operative who changed the rules so that the fake whistleblower could present this year’s version of the dodgy dossier?
Bottom line: What this whole “trial” is going to prove once again is what will happen if the Democrats ever regain control of everything. Every campaign going forward is a Flight 93 election — we have to take them down every time, or it’s all over.
Look what now happens in states where they grab all the levers of power. Republicans lost control of the New York state senate in November 2018. The Democrats in Albany have now basically legalized infanticide and outlawed bail. One guy in New York robbed six banks since New Year’s and was only stopped when the feds lugged him last weekend.
Also in New York, ICE tried to take custody of a violent illegal immigrant Guyanese man after he beat his father. Under new Democrat “sanctuary” policies, the illegal immigrant was cut loose, so he went out and raped and murdered a 92-year-old woman in Queens. A guy in Brooklyn fired 29 shots out a second-story window. The judge released him without bail.
Then there’s Virginia. The Democrats took control of the legislature in Richmond a couple of weeks ago, and immediately began trying to in effect repeal the Second Amendment. The Democrats, led by a governor whose yearbook picture shows him in either blackface or a Klan hood (he refuses to say which picture is his) threatened to call up the National Guard to confiscate legal firearms, and to fire any law-enforcement officers who refused to follow the Democrats’ unconstitutional orders.
This is what the modern Democrats are all about. And they have the support of the mainstream media, like the New York Times, which just endorsed the fake Indian for president, calling her a “gifted storyteller.”
That’s one way to describe her, I guess.
This is an assault on the Constitution. Thank God it’s almost time for the Super Bowl.
