Musk Nails It: Why Biden Intentionally Created the Border Crisis and Makes Excuses for Not Ending It
As repercussions from Joe Biden's intentionally created border crisis continue to spread across America, the world's richest man took to X on Friday to opine about why the worst president in at least modern history opened the southern border floodgates in the first place — and why he fights to keep them open.
And here's the thing: You don't have to be Elon Musk to figure it out.
Here's the other thing: Biden and the Democrats know why the border crisis was created. We know why it was created. And they know we know why it was created.
"Biden's strategy is very simple," Musk wrote.
1. Get as many illegals in the country as possible.
2. legalize them to create a permanent majority — a one-party state.
Yup, he nailed it: "That is why they are encouraging so much illegal immigration. Simple, yet effective."
On the off chance that you disagree with Musk and the rest of us, ask yourself this simple question: Why else would Biden and the Democrats intentionally create such a crisis — and continue it when the polls clearly show it's key among the issues killing the embattled president's re-election chances?
In response to Biden's January 26 press release in which he claimed he needed congressional authority and more money to "shut down" the border, Musk fired back:
No laws need to be passed. All that is needed is an executive order to require proof before granting an asylum hearing. That is how it used to be.
Correct — on all counts.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) explained in early January that Biden has the authority to significantly reduce the record number of border crossings without action from Congress.
"On his first day in office, President Biden came in and issued executive orders that began this chaos," Johnson told "Face the Nation" moderator Margaret Brennan in an interview in Eagle Pass, Texas. "Remain in Mexico is one of them."
The Remain in Mexico policy, officially called the Migrant Protection Protocols, was implemented by the Trump administration in early 2019 to deter migration to the U.S.-Mexico border. It required migrants seeking asylum in the U.S. to wait in Mexico until their court dates.
Mr. Biden ended the policy soon after taking office, saying it was inhumane. After months of legal battles, federal courts ordered the government to reinstate it. The Supreme Court ruled in June 2022 that the Biden administration had the authority to end the program and it is no longer being implemented.
As is the case with why Biden intentionally created the border crisis, he knows he has the authority to singlehandedly end it, we know he has the authority, and he and the Democrats know we know it.
So why doesn't Biden end it? Here's what he said in the aforementioned statement:
Let’s be clear. What’s been negotiated would — if passed into law — be the toughest and fairest set of reforms to secure the border we’ve ever had in our country. It would give me, as President, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed. And if given that authority, I would use it the day I sign the bill into law.
There are all kinds of things wrong with that statement, but let's cut to the chase:
The "toughest and fairest reforms to secure the border" would reportedly legally allow 5,000 illegal aliens to enter the country daily. That's 1.825 million otherwise would-be illegals per year. Of course, Biden and the Democrats love it to pieces — precisely for the reasons Musk pointed out in his X post.
The Bottom Line
With apologies to those who've previously read my illustration of Democrat hypocrisy, if reputable polling organizations were positioned along the southern border, interviewed illegal aliens as they walked into the country, and found that 75 percent would vote Republican if they were legalized (I know: that's not what they'd find, but stay with me), Joe Biden and the entire Democrat Party would lock arms in a human chain stretching from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico and try to keep them the hell out of the country.
