Pelosi’s commission a plot to ‘kill MAGA,’ says Marjorie Taylor Greene
Outspoken conservative Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene continues to oppose House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Jan. 6 commission, calling it a poorly obscured bid by liberals to erase the movement to "Make America Great Again."
“It’s all a political story to kill the MAGA movement forever,” she told Secrets on Wednesday, a day after giving an impassioned floor speech against the commission.
“They will dangle out the people who breached the Capitol as the worst offenders and then paint all Republicans who ever dared to go to a Trump rally the same as the ‘white supremacist radical evil’ people who walked around the Capitol that day,” added the Georgia Republican.
And, she tweeted, “the media will cover it 24/7 and only report anything that they can use to kill off Trump forever, shame ALL Trump supporters, and smear Republicans.”
Greene has been a whirlwind of controversy since even before she arrived in Washington in January. But she seems to dare more critics to come after her.
The lawmaker’s latest feather in her hat of controversy came from the liberal Washington Post, which promoted a column calling on Congress to expel her. It was written by contributing columnist Donna Edwards, a former liberal Democratic House member, who lost her bid for Senate in Maryland and then lost a county race.
In a series of Wednesday tweets, Greene blasted the Pelosi commission, noting that several other committees are investigating the day of protests and break-ins at the Capitol. She also highlighted stories about suspects held for days in jail and the refusal by police to identify the only person killed that day, Trump supporter Ashley Babbitt.
“If they cared about the truth and justice, they would stop Antifa/BLM domestic terrorists, they would allow election audits, they would tell us who killed Ashley Babbitt, and they would tell us why & who denied Pres Trump’s order for 10K NG troops for the Capitol on Jan 6th,” she wrote.
