DESPERATE DEMOCRATS TURN TO DEATH THREATS

DESPERATE DEMOCRATS TURN TO DEATH THREATS

Democrats are having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that they lost the presidential election. Now they are threatening to kill Republican electors unless they switch allegiance and vote for Hillary Clinton when the electoral college meets on December 19. The Detroit Newsreports:
Trump’s opponents have deluged [Michael] Banerian and other GOP electors with pleas and nasty emails to reverse course and cast their ballots for Clinton, according to the Michigan Republican Party.
“You have people saying ‘you’re a hateful bigot, I hope you die,’” he said.
Democrats apparently have had all sense of irony surgically removed.
“I’ve had people talk about shoving a gun in my mouth and blowing my brains out. And I’ve received dozens and dozens of those emails. Even the non-threatening-my-life emails are very aggressive.”
Banerian isn’t making it up:
The Detroit News verified one message containing a death wish and another containing a death threat, in which the person told Banerian he would “put a bullet” in his mouth. Banerian said he deleted the rest of the emails and messages “because as you can imagine they’re clogging up my email.”
The same thing is happening to electors in other states. NBC’s Dallas-Fort Worth affiliatereports:
The 38 Texans who will vote are all Republicans, because Donald Trump won Texas, but they don’t have to vote for Trump.
In Texas, unlike some other states, electors may change their mind, and it has Democrats from around the country urging them to do just that, said Alex Kim, an elector for Texas’ 24th Congressional District.
“At first everyone was kinda enchanted by it,” Kim said. “Now all the electors are starting to get beaten down. There are some electors who have been threatened with harm or with death.”
***
Since the election, [Kim] said he has been receiving thousands of e-mails a day from all across the county.
Reportedly, over four million Democrats have signed a petition calling on electors in Republican states to vote for Hillary. That won’t happen, of course. Petitions are relatively benign, compared with death threats, but the common denominator is craziness.
Speaking of which, check out this screed by a disappointed Hillary Clinton voter, which the Minneapolis Star Tribune published, presumably to show how nuts many Democrats are. The Democratic author proudly recounts how he has broken off relations with all relatives and friends who, he suspects, might have voted for Donald Trump, or failed to vote at all:
Somewhere around 1:30 a.m. the morning after the election — an insurgency of white, rural Americans lacking college degrees having taken its revenge upon itself and the rest of us by granting power to a self-styled strongman with a long record of race-baiting, tax-dodging, creditor-stiffing, self-dealing, model-chasing, lie-disseminating and the hosting of rallies where journalists were confined to pens and subjected to taunts and promises of death printed on T-shirts (please, commenters, do tell us again about the Hillary Clinton e-mails) — I staged the only act of protest left in my immediate control.
I sent an e-mail to an in-law, telling him that his genial hockey buddy and Trump supporter friend Johnny was no longer welcome on Thanksgiving.
I’m not a hater.
Obviously not! Having cut off relations with various people he actually knows, our author turns to his precinct:
I still have to figure out how I am going to make life unpleasant for all the Trump voters or even Trump-ambivalent as yet unknown. Going strictly by yard signs, they seem live in parts of town where you’d buy if you cared more about lawn size than people. But local numbers tell me there are 330 of them in my precinct. It unnerves me to think I share the sidewalk with even 330 votes for the social malevolence of denying my child’s school the right to ban guns.
Banning guns is magical. Put up a sign, and the would-be mass murderer mutters, “Curses! Foiled again!” and skulks away.
[Y]ou don’t have to make the Trump supporters dinner, or remain their friends on Facebook, or keep sending them holiday cards. In fact, it’s probably better that you don’t, not if you don’t want to normalize the election of a man who seems poised to penalize his critics…
Has Trump threatened to sic the IRS on liberal organizations? No.
No idea what that means.
…bunker down under the counsel of blood relatives as all tyrants do, and foment anger within his base.
Whew! It’s a good thing there isn’t any anger in the Democrats’ base!
Some of us have pushed away family over far less. And once you’ve taken a stand, they might have to think about what matters more to them — their fondness for the strongman, or you.
The “strongman” being someone who rules by issuing unconstitutional executive orders on subjects like immigration and health care. No, wait…
Have we ever seen anything like this outpouring of insanity from the Democratic Party? I haven’t. But then, I’ve only been following politics since 1960.
