With universities and major city streets overrun with pro-Hamas protesters who make clear that their goals go beyond the Jews and Israel and want the West under Sharia law, Western countries must start to fight back to preserve their freedoms, customs and futures.
I wish to say from the outset that I believe that the majority of Muslims living in Western countries are upstanding citizens. Some serve in the armed forces and some have given their lives in the service of their countries. These facts I take as true, but they do not matter. A cancer patient has the vast majority of his cells healthy, yet he might be hovering between life and death. For the Israelis, the vast majority of Palestinians may not be terrorists, but this fact will not bring back the 1,200 murdered last month or make the fighting in Gaza any less real. We live in an age where a small group can make a lot of noise and also do a lot of damage. Think of the 19 hijackers of 9/11. The Islamists in the West today are engaging in sometimes violent protesting on campuses and on the streets of major cities. Tomorrow, they would like to conquer their host countries and raise the flag of Sharia law.
This past Veterans Day, hundreds of thousands participating in large protests in favor of Hamas showed their contempt for their Western hosts. In New York, anti-Jewish protesters threw down American flags from light poles and replaced them with PLO flags. In London, where the crowd was recorded as 300,000 people, veterans were attacked and British monuments were defaced with flags and pro-Hamas graffiti. The students, Muslims, and leftists who marched together wish for the destruction of Israel and death for the Jews—this much they say openly. But some also make it clear that they want to subjugate the West to Sharia law and Islamic rule. If Western citizens do not want to be under such control, then the time has come to act. Below are steps to weaken the pro-Sharia forces that wish to destroy hundreds of years of Western democracy, freedom and enlightenment. The threat of their rule is no less dangerous than that of the Nazis 80 years ago.
1. Stop immigration from problematic countries. Donald Trump touched on this subject when he ran in 2016. There are countries whose citizens either pose potential security or social risks to the West if imported in large numbers. Not all cultures mesh, and the past few weeks have shown that some strains of Islam are incompatible with Western freedoms and values. The first step for saving the West from cultural suicide is to stop or significantly reduce immigration from countries that provide a large percentage of those Islamic supremacists who wish to destroy the West and use Western freedoms and immigration to advance their program.
2. Throw out anyone who is in violation of a visa. The violation may be a small infraction, but as we saw with the 9/11 terrorists, almost all of them had overstayed their visitor visas. People who participated in the genocide-supporting marches who have expired visas or whose actions are in contravention to their visa terms should be given one-way tickets back to the places from which they came. MIT stated that it will not expel marchers calling for genocide because the foreign troublemakers could lose their visa. This kind of thinking has brought us to where we are today. Get rid of them and order an Uber to take them to the airport.
3. Demand civil competency. For those who are legally in Western countries but are immigrants, they should be required to take courses on citizenship, history of the host country, language, customs and the need to respect others’ rights and freedoms. This program is in place of the internment camps run by the US during World War 2 for German, Italian and Japanese citizens legally in the United States. Immigrants must be pushed towards the melting pot and away from the “salad” model of keeping their identity and rejecting local culture and law. Any legal immigrant that refuses to take these courses or does not pass an appropriate exam should be sent back to his or her home country. An oath of allegiance would also be a good idea. The days of playing games and importing anti-Western cultures into Western countries must be over.
4. No-go zones must be dismantled. You think that Israel has a challenging task going into the heart of Gaza? Try getting UK or Swedish police to go into “No-Go” zones and break up the Islamic dominance of these areas. One law, the common law of the land, must be enforced in every part of a country and in every city. The days of impenetrable ghettos into which locals are not welcome must be finished. It might take the army to take back these neighborhoods, but there cannot be a state within a state.
5. Support Israel’s efforts. Israel fighting Hamas is a major step in weakening Islamic supremacy. Hamas being defeated would take the wind out of the sails of Western Islamists who think that victory is around the corner. Support for Israel’s critical efforts also sends a message to the local crowds that their marches will not weaken the resolve of the West to destroy terror infrastructure and terror supporters. Israel may have to take on Hezbollah beyond the tit-for-tat shelling of the last few weeks. Support from the West should be wall-to-wall. Any bellyaching about civilian casualties—which are fully on Hamas’ tab—only weakens the fight to uproot the greatest threat to Western freedoms since the Nazi invasion of France.
6. Weaken Iran. Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Houthis, the militias in Iraq—all of them receive money, weapons and training from Iran. The US giving the mullahs billions of dollars through the failed nuclear agreements and hostage trades has given the terror axis a fortune for producing and maintaining large weapons stockpiles for use against Israel and the West. There are many ways to weaken Iran. Isolate her politically. Support those opposed to the regime. Develop US oil reserves to reduce Iranian petrodollar income. Run covert infiltrations to destroy infrastructure and key facilities. If Israel could haul off a ton of nuclear documents and install an AI-based weapon to kill a nuclear scientist, then Iran’s borders are porous enough to get agents in and out for missions to strengthen those opposed to the regime and also destroy key infrastructure. Iran would not hesitate to use its ballistic missiles and the nuclear weapons it is developing to attack Europe, so it is in Europe’s interest to weaken Iran and its economy.
Islamist extremists declared war on the West and its decadent (in their eyes) way of life well before the 9/11 attacks. They have also declared war on Judaism and Christianity. Western citizens have seen in the past week immigrants and citizens joining together to call for the destruction of not only Israel and the Jewish people but also their home countries. There are ways to fight back, but it would take an admission of a problem and a resolve to take on those who wish ill to Westerners and the countries that graciously took in these ingrates. The time to act is now. If the goal is to keep Western society free and safe, then immigration from anti-Western countries must be addressed now. Staying on auto-pilot by bringing in more anti-Western immigrants and not punishing those who threaten the very fabric of society is a recipe for an end to the West as we know it.
