After nearly three years of President Joe Biden’s time in office, Democrats are beginning to jump ship after realizing the U.S. is heading for turmoil.

It seems just about every day; headlines light up about something Biden has done wrong or bluffed, making the Left look weaker and out-of-touch than it already is.

According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 30 percent of Democrats are shying away from Biden and instead considering throwing their support behind former President Trump.

Trump, who is dominating the 2024 presidential race, has Democrats looking to back him as Biden continues to wreak havoc on American policies and the democracy of the country.

More from Rasmussen:

Eighty percent of Republicans are likely to vote for Trump in 2024, including 64% who are ‘Very Likely’ to vote for him. Perhaps surprisingly, however, 30% of Democrats also say they’re at least somewhat likely to vote for Trump in next year’s presidential election. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 50% are at least somewhat likely to vote for Trump in 2024, including 32% who say it’s ‘Very Likely’ they’ll vote for the former president next year. Majorities of every racial category — 53% of whites, 50% of black voters, and 52% of other minorities — say they’re at least somewhat likely to vote for Trump in 2024. Twenty-five percent of black Trump voters say they would be more likely to vote for him if he picked a black running mate.

The poll also found over half of Americans (55 percent) disapprove of Biden’s job performance as president.

On the contrary, only 23 percent strongly approve of Biden’s time in office, while 45 percent strongly disapprove— giving him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -22.

The survey comes as former Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his run for president as an Independent.

Some Democrats are worried RFK’s candidacy could ruin Biden’s chances of being re-elected in 2024. They feel that a third-party candidate could result in more votes being cast for Trump rather than Biden.

According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll, Kennedy could steal votes from Trump and Biden with 14 percent of the overall share.
