Tom Cotton Unleashes a Brutal Thread Showing Exactly What Democrats Are Doing

With Democrats choosing to filibuster the Wuhan virus relief bill, the Senate is now left in limbo. Because of the games Democrats have played, it will require unanimous consent to even bring it up for a vote again before the end of the week. In other words, lives are about to be lost because the left wants to shove a bunch of unrelated, partisan junk into an emergency funding bill to try to snipe at President Trump.
Just how bad is Pelosi’s new bill? T0m Cotton lays out a brutal thread showing just how insane their demands are.
Families and businesses need help now to survive the China virus pandemic. But @SpeakerPelosi walked away from negotiations to write her own bill, full of absurd provisions completely unrelated to the crisis at hand. Here’s what Speaker Pelosi is demanding while Americans suffer:
21.5K people are talking about this
6. For companies accepting assistance, 1/3 of board members must be chosen by workers
7. Provisions on official time for union collective bargaining
8. Full offset of airline emissions by 2025
9. Greenhouse gas statistics for individual flights
4,548 people are talking about this
The Democrats see an opportunity in this crisis.
Not to help the American people, but to hold an emergency relief bill hostage until they get their radical wish list.
How long will Arkansans and Americans across the country have to wait?

The idiocy of all this is hard to overstate. When an economy is already teetering on the edge, you don’t rush to double the minimum wage, throw in gobs of new regulations, and try to bring about race quotas. I’ve already touched on the climate change nonsense in the bill, which serves no purpose but to bankrupt the airlines and stop air travel.
Further, what in the world does early voting, election audits, and a USPS bailout have to do with the Wuhan virus? The answer is nothing. Pelosi and her awful caucus are seeking to use this bill as a catch all for their wildest liberal dreams, and they are doing it while knowing it will cost American lives and livelihoods. I try not to get too invested in political machinations, as I recognize they are par for the Washington course, but this is simply disgusting.
The country can not wait on this bill much longer. Mitch McConnell needs to let it be known immediately that he’s not going to be leveraged with this craziness. Also, the President needs to be a better messenger on this. He simply did not take the necessary rhetorical line at his presser today. He needs to be giving a national address on the matter, laying out exactly what the Democrats are trying to do, line by line.
This is too important to just rely on riffing and a scattershot strategy. A cohesive GOP message has to form immediately and be pushed relentlessly. Lives are counting on it.
