Disgraced Former CIA Director John Brennan reportedly met with House Democrat leadership on Capitol Hill Wednesday after Special Counsel Robert Mueller found no collusion between President Trump and the Russian government. He was there, reportedly, to discuss "the news of the day."
According to the House GOP, this news broke just hours after Speaker Pelosi said Democrats were “focused on meeting the needs of the American people in their lives” during a news conference.
"If that was the case, they wouldn’t have been caught scheming with one of the architects of the false collusion narrative," the House GOP argued.
For over a year, Brennan has been a regular fixture on MSNBC, aggressively pushing the Russia collusion hoax — that is, until the Mueller report came out concluding that there was no conspiracy among Trump or his team to collude with Russia, at which point he had to sheepishly admit he was passing along “bad information.”
“I don’t know if I received bad information, but I suspected there was more than there actually was," Brennan said on MSNBC earlier this week. "I am relieved that it’s been determined there was not a criminal conspiracy with the Russian government over our election. I think that is good news for the country.”
On Hannity Wednesday night, President Trump said, "I think Brennan is a sick person. I think there's something wrong with him."
He added: "I mean, this is a man who really is either sick or there is some other problem," Trump said. "But the way he spoke -- and as you know, Clapper lied, and perhaps the statute of limitations ran out on that one but it didn't run out on Comey. It didn't run out on Brennan or Strzok or Page or McCabe."
Brennan has lied to Congress on numerous occasions, but the president is most likely referring to this whopper in May of 2017.
Brennan testified under oath before Congress that he had no knowledge during the 2016 presidential campaign of the origins of the Fusion GPS/Christopher Steele dossier.Nor, Brennan claimed, was he aware that the FBI and the Department of Justice had used the infamous file to obtain surveillance warrants from the FISA court before and after the election.
In reality, Obama's CIA director schemed to get the sketchy dossier leaked to the media in 2016 and reportedly pressed to have it included in the U.S. intelligence Assessment of Russian Meddling.
Brennan became aware of the Clinton-funded dirty dossier in the summer of 2016, according to transcripts from former FBI lawyer Lisa Page's July 2018 congressional testimony. On August 25, he reportedly briefed former Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.), then the top Democrat in the Senate, on the existence of the counterintelligence probe into the Trump campaign.
According to the New York Times, Brennan told Reid that Russia’s hackings appeared to be aimed at helping Trump win the presidential election. He also reportedly said that unnamed Trump campaign advisers might be working with the Russians to interfere in the election.
Reid then leaked that information to the media and asked the FBI to "investigate evidence suggesting that Russia may try to manipulate voting results in November."
The New York Times on August 29, 2016, published the story: "Harry Reid Cites Evidence of Russian Tampering in U.S. Vote, and Seeks F.B.I. Inquiry."
Multiple reports indicate that Brennan also insisted that the Dems' dirty dossier be included in the 2017 U.S. intelligence Assessment of Russian Interference in the 2016 Election.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Wednesday called for Brennan to come before Congress "ASAP."
