Kashing Out the FBI

Kashing Out the FBI

President Trump’s pick to head the Federal Bureau of Investigation is Kashyap “Kash” Patel, a man Trump describes as “a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and ‘America First’ fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People.” The FBI and establishment media didn’t like it.

“Every day, the men and women of the FBI continue to work to protect Americans from a growing array of threats,” the bureau said in a statement to CNN.  “Director Wray’s focus remains on the men and women of the FBI, the people we do the work with, and the people we do the work for.” Note the order: FBI staff first, other government workers second, and the people last. And as the people have noted, the FBI does not work every day to protect them from any growing array of threats.

The FBI failed to protect Americans from the 9/11 terrorists, the Fort Hood jihadist, the Boston Marathon bombers, and Islamic mass murderers at San Bernardino and Orlando. Local police, not the FBI, took down the terrorists. The FBI’s focus has been those who support Donald Trump, and last year they shot dead Craig Robertson, a 75-year old woodworker, for threats to Biden and other Democrats he allegedly posted online.  This year, after a 20-year-old assassin nearly killed Trump, Wray said Trump might have been hit by “shrapnel,” not one of the eight bullets the assassin unleashed from a rooftop.

A poor choice for the job in the first place, Wray will have to resign or be fired before Patel can take over. If confirmed, Patel will be getting wish lists from all quarters. One long overdue task is the revelation of which official in the FBI’s Washington office called off the surveillance on “Soldier of Allah” Nidal Hasan, who murdered 13 American soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009, including private Francheska Velez who was pregnant.

Hasan was sentenced to death in 2013 but the mass murderer remains in prison cheering on the Taliban terrorists he was fighting for in 2009. On day one of his administration, commander-in-chief Donald Trump should give the order to execute this jihadist. As Lt. Peter Hancock (Bryan Brown) said in Breaker Morant, “he’ll never get to heaven if he doesn’t die.”
