Reporters Nail Biden for Blowing off COVID Guidance in Another 'Rules for Thee' Moment

Reporters Nail Biden for Blowing off COVID Guidance in Another 'Rules for Thee' Moment

AP Photo/Andrew Harnik

Joe Biden tested positive on Saturday for COVID again after testing negative earlier this week. He first tested positive on July 21.

With the new positive test, his doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, issued a written statement, terming it a case of “rebound positivity,” which he says happens sometimes with Paxlovid treatment.

The doctor said that Biden wasn’t feeling any “re-emergence of symptoms.”

But during his continuing bout of COVID, although Biden has pushed following CDC guidance to others, both he and Kamala Harris have blown off that guidance for themselves. Rules are for the little people, not Biden and Harris. We’ve reported on some of that recent mask theater from Biden, but now there’s more.

Biden’s doctor had said on Wednesday that he would be wearing a “well-fitting mask” when he was around others for 10 days. That’s following the CDC guidance saying that he should wear the mask for 10 days. The doctor claimed that Biden wanted to be “conscientious” about protecting others.

But Biden was not wearing a mask today while participating in a roundtable on the economy, despite sitting near Treasury Secretary JANET YELLEN. It is the latest instance of both the president and the vice president not following the CDC Covid guidance despite asking Americans to. [….]

A White House official argued that “we have ensured that there is sufficient distance between him and others to allow him to safely remove his mask.” When we noted that’s not what the CDC guidance says or what Dr. O’Connor said he’d do, the official declined to comment further.

Just in case the hypocrisy wasn’t completely clear, Politico reporters had a few things to say about the hypocrisy–including that the reporters who got near Yellen were required to test negative and they had to wear masks.

AP reporter Seung Min Kim also reported Biden blowing off the rules, it’s not clear if she’s talking about the same or other instances of Biden flouting the mask guidance.

Politico reporter Alex Ward observed that before Biden came down with COVID, he was also blowing off what his doctor advised.

“Conscientious” to Biden must translate to “I do what I want.” But, we all know that had Donald Trump done this, we would be hearing about the people that he was potentially killing with his actions.

Don's Tuesday Column

THE WAY I SEE IT   by Don Polson   Red Bluff Daily News   8/02/2022

Can’t fix problems lied about

Likewise, you can’t fix stupid. Whether it’s economic problems, climate change, gun violence, election integrity or the latest so-called health emergency, “monkeypox,” there are acceptable narratives, guided by—of course—political correctness and “woke” mentality.

First, monkeypox; squeamish readers can rejoin the column later. Medical fact: it constitutes a “zero” emergency, or even a concern, to anyone not attending parties, gatherings and festivals devoted to the male homosexual proclivity to “celebrate” by physical contact, including, you know, “the thing.” These rave-type events have proliferated in Europe, and “circuit” parties where literally “anything goes.”

In “Political Correctness helped turn monkeypox into a global emergency,” by David Kaufman (nypost.com), the biggest threat over the disease, to leftists: ignorant, bigoted people spreading “homophobia” (scare quotes to scare you). There is no risk to women in lesbian relationships; men in, shall we say, monogamous pairings; the general population of heterosexual men and women. Bisexual men may have some worries; I write this as a service to public health awareness.

“Few things are more predictable than progressives blaming racism and homophobia for a public ill, but the monkeypox outbreak takes this to confounding new levels. Just as with other ‘woke’ obsessions such as gun violence or the transgender debate, the insistence on placing politics above data and science has led to confused messaging — and very few solutions.” Actually, solutions are clear and simple: no orgiastic sex among men.

Welcome back for normal controversies like gun violence. Unfortunately, dishonesty about the frequency of “mass shootings” drives duplicitous discussions. Before vilifying this writer, look up “Mass Shootings in US Are Rare, Despite Increased Attention,” by Emily Miller, theepochtimes.com.

Apparently, data collected by the FBI doesn’t paint a dire enough picture of a lethal problem that comes down to men—with murderous natures, who already violate numerous laws by simply possessing, holding or being in proximity to a gun—disregarding laws and the lives of innocent citizens.

The preferred response of the gun-grabbing, 2nd Amendment-hating crowd is to change the definition of “mass shootings” to fallaciously create an artificially high number: “309 mass shootings in America so far this year…CNN reported that U.S. mass shooting are on pace to match last year—the worst ever.”

“The way in which politicians who want more gun control bills deliberately scare people about mass shootings is by citing a made-up definition and using statistics from an unofficial database called the Gun Violence Archive. ‘Obviously, they are trying to broaden the definition to get as large a number as they can to scare the public,’ said Alan M. Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation.

“But the public cares more about stopping these incidents before they happen. The way to prevent them is not to take away people’s Second Amendment rights, but to make sure those people don’t get the guns to start with—and that is where we are failing.” Most “lone wolf” mass shooters are “known wolves” to authorities.

Even from reliable, non-agenda-driven sources, numbers vary but pale in comparison to things that kill massively, like automobiles and diseases. Congressional Research Service: 78 public mass shootings that claimed 547 lives—over 30 years. Average: less than 3 shootings, 20 victims/year.

Department of Justice, quoting the National Institute of Justice and “The Violence Project”: 176 mass shootings from 1966 to 2021 with a total of 1,259 people killed—averaging 23 victims of mass shootings annually over 55 years. Spare me rhetoric blaming law-abiding gun owners and their weapons.

Witness the fallacious attempt to redefine the traditional, accepted economic term: “recession.” Media shills, Democrats-with-bylines, thinly veiled political hacks, and administration flacks and mouthpieces performed mental and verbal gymnastics to say, essentially “who you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?”

Most folks seethe over inflation at the gas pump (they’re not buying happy talk over recent price declines; they know it’s doubled since Biden started) and grocery aisle (double digit increases in every category). They know their take-home pay is dropping; consumer confidence is at historic lows. So, instead of acknowledging the obvious—2 quarters of negative GDP equals a recession—we’re given gobbledygook: it’s ok, nothing to see here, move along. Democrat leaders promise it’ll be great after this painful “transition”.

“As Career Physicists, Science Demonstrates there is no Climate Related Risk Caused by Fossil Fuels and CO2, Thus No Scientific Basis for the [SEC] Rule and, if Adopted, [it will lead to] Disastrous Consequences for People Worldwide and the U.S,” by physicists Richard Lindzen, Ph. D, and William Happer, Ph. D.

They definitively disprove the erroneous, misapplied climate-related disclosures proposed by an SEC rule. Section titles: A) There is no urgency to act now; B) Today’s 415 ppm CO2 level is near a record low, not dangerously high;

C) 600 million years of CO2 and temperature data contradicts the theory that high levels of CO2 will cause catastrophic global warming; D) Two recent warming periods show increased CO2 doesn’t drive major temperature increases;

E) The IPCC CMIP and other models fail to reliably predict temperatures; F) The IPCC is government controlled and only issues government dictated findings;

G) The endangerment findings and national climate assessments rely on IPCC findings; H) The social cost of carbon TSD estimates are scientifically invalid; I) “Net Zero” worldwide emissions would have a trivial impact on temperatures; J) Climate science is awash with manipulated data;

K) NAS ‘Valuing Climate Damages’ is based on peer review and consensus, not scientific method; L) Climate Science publishing is dominated by one-sided, paid-for studies with no disclosure…All of which provide no reliable scientific evidence to support the [SEC] proposed rule.

Democrats Going for Desperate Line of Attack Ahead of Midterms

Democrats Going for Desperate Line of Attack Ahead of Midterms

Democrats are still predicted to use what narrow control they have of the U.S. House of Representatives, and potentially the U.S. Senate. It's no surprise, then, that Democrats would turn to desperate measures in order to delude themselves, and voters, that they have a chance to hold onto control of the House.

In May, President Joe Biden started using the term "ultra MAGA" as a way to smear Republicans. Then White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki laughably claimed that the president came up with it all on his own, but it turns out, as Matt covered not long after, that it was the result of six months worth of research.

Democrats in Congress as well as their allies in the mainstream media have taken to using the phrase embarrassingly enough, cringe-worthy though it may be. This includes Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who serves as the chairman of the Democratic Caucus.

During the House Democratic Leadership press conference earlier this week, Jeffries used the line, proudly tweeting it out on Thursday, after having tweeted out a similar line on Wednesday.

"The threat right now in this country to the American people are extreme MAGA Republicans. That's the threat," he emphasized. And he only got more hysterical from there. "That's the problem. That's the crisis that we confront. Extreme MAGA Republicans. Why? They are extreme on reproductive freedom. They wanna criminalize abortion care. Extreme on social security. They actually want to end it in five years. Social security! They wanna end it, in five years. Extreme on democracy, apparently they do not believe in it. They wanna lead us on a path toward authoritarianism. Extreme on guns. Extreme on Medicare. They also wanna end it, in five years. Extreme on voting rights. They don't believe in it." Jeffries went on to repeat that "that's the threat that the American people confront," after listing off a litany of examples.

He then went on to make his claim that his party had a chance in November. "That's why we are gonna continue to put people over politics and make it very clear what extreme MAGA Republicans are all about."

When it comes to the example Jeffries began with, abortion, or, as he put it "reproductive freedom" and "abortion care," the congressman has propagated such abortion extremism before, as he did during a hearing earlier this month conducted by the House Judiciary Committee. During his remarks, he asked the Republican witness, Catherine Glenn Foster about extremism, who aptly responded that "anyone who would support abortion up to the baby's birthday is extreme."

Jeffries then went on a pro-abortion rant. "It's mainstream if you support the fact that this decision, reproductive decisions, should be between a woman and her doctor. We don't need Ted Cruz, or anyone else, involved in making that decision," he said, randomly throwing the pro-life Republican senator from Texas under the bus. "That's extreme, what you wanna bring about," he claimed.

While the Democratic Party supports abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy without legal limit, as does the legislation they're pushing known as the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA), Democratic members and their witnesses appear to be in denial, instead claiming Republicans and their witnesses are the "extreme" ones on the issue.

Polls show the American people are not on Jeffries' side, though. A recent poll from Harvard CAPS/Harris, found that just 10 percent of respondents hold the Democratic Party's view of supporting abortion through all nine months.

Claims that Republicans are looking to "end" social security and Medicare was already fact-checked, back in April, and Democrats are considered to have "misleadingly" made such claims.

Jeffries offered no examples when he claimed Republicans are against democracy and want to send us on a path towards authoritarianism. He also provided no such evidence on his claim about guns, seeming to forget that a gun control package passed Congress last month with Republican support.

When it comes to voting rights, Republican states have passed several laws to protect election integrity, with an aim in mind to make it easier to vote, harder to cheat. That's hardly the same as claiming Republicans "don't believe in" voting rights, especially since some state laws added extra days of early voting, giving it more than Democratic states. Further, Georgia voter turnout for May's primaries exploded to a record-high number.

Jeffries is likely salty that Republicans opposed so-called voting rights legislation that failed in the U.S. Senate earlier this year. Such legislation would have led to the unconstitutional federal overhaul of elections.

It's worth highlighting that none of those examples included economic hardships the American people face, including inflation, pain at the pump from high gas prices, or the recession that a majority of the American people believe we're in, all while the Biden administration denies we're in one.

Polls consistently show that Americans consider the economic issues as their top issues, which they give President Biden particularly low marks on.

press release and Friday morning inbox message from the DNC makes it clear that the Democrats very much plan to go with this tiring, hyperbolic narrative. For Friday kicked off the "Too Extreme Tours," in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, after already doing so on Thursday in North Carolina and Arizona.

DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison also promoted such events over Twitter.

Neither the inbox message advertising such events, nor the longer press release posted to the DNC website ars to address the top of mind issue of inflation.

Budget Office Debunks Biden’s Claim He ‘Reduced’ The Deficit

Budget Office Debunks Biden’s Claim He ‘Reduced’ The Deficit

Daily Caller News Foundation logo
  • The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released a report Wednesday predicting dramatic long-term increases in the federal deficit, debt and spending.
  • President Joe Biden has frequently taken credit for a reduction in the deficit the past two years, which the CBO attributes to “waning” spending on coronavirus.
  • Federal budget experts agree with the CBO’s assessment, going so far as to say the deficit would have dropped the past two years had the president “done nothing.”

The federal deficit will shrink in 2022 largely due to decreased spending on the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a Wednesday report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), contradicting President Joe Biden’s claims that his policies ought to be credited for the reduction.

The Biden Administration has frequently taken credit for this year’s decrease in the deficit, but the CBO report credits the decrease to shrinking costs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Coronavirus relief funds that were scheduled to be dispersed during the pandemic have largely been spent, and as the government is not scheduled to spend any more, there has been a reduction in the deficit this year, according to the CBO.

President Biden has frequently referred to the reduction in the deficit as a personal accomplishment, The Daily Caller reported.

“I don’t want to hear any more of these lies about reckless spending. We’re changing people’s lives!” Biden shouted in June at the AFL-CIO Convention. “And because of the facts this year, we’re delivering the biggest drop in the deficit in the history of the United States of America.”

“The first year I was president, I cut the federal deficit by $350 billion”, said Biden on July 6, according to Factbase, a database which compiles presidential remarks.

However, the deficit under Biden is larger than what the CBO projected it would be had some Trump-era policies remained in place, CNN reported.

“The actions of the administration and Congress have undoubtedly resulted in higher deficits, not smaller ones,” Dan White, senior director at Moody’s Analytics, told CNN.

These actions include passing the $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill, known as the American Rescue Plan, according to CNN. (RELATED: Here’s What Schools Actually Did With The Billions In COVID Bucks Meant For Improved Ventilation)

Marc Goldwein, senior vice president at the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, told CNN that the President’s claims are “almost bizarro world,” and that “had President Biden come into office and done nothing,” the deficit would be significantly lower.

However, current policies enacted under the Biden administration will lead to new deficit increases starting as soon as next year, according to the report.

“If current laws governing taxes and spending generally remained unchanged, the federal budget deficit… would nearly triple over the next 30 years,” the report states, citing the rising cost of interest payments on outstanding U.S. debt, healthcare and Social Security.

As the deficit is predicted to grow, so too are national debt and spending, according to the CBO report.

Federal debt is projected to equal 98% of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2022, climbing as high as 107% of GDP by 2031, according to the CBO. The report credits “high inflation” and the continued growth of the inflation-adjusted GDP for keeping debt lower than it might otherwise have been.

Revenue is projected to remain relatively consistent, at 19.6% of GDP in 2022, dropping slightly to 19.1% in 2052, according to the CBO. The forecast predicts a short-term drop from the current historically high level before planned changes to tax policy cause steady increases over time.  (RELATED: Rising Inflation Is Driving Up Elderly Americans’ Taxes)

As the deficit increases, debt is projected to rise to 185% of GDP by 2052, which the CBO warns could “slow economic growth, push up interest payments to foreign holders of U.S. debt, [and] heighten the risk of a fiscal crisis.”

The DCNF contacted the White House, requesting comment on these figures and if the administration had any plans for long-term debt reduction. The White House did not immediately respond.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Saw White Supremacy Everywhere During Unhinged House Oversight Hearing

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Saw White Supremacy Everywhere During Unhinged House Oversight Hearing

The Democrats got nothing done in two years due to bad policy ideas and being unfocused. The social agenda undid whatever spending provisions the traditional and far-left wings agreed upon. It was a vicious cycle. The social policy of the Democratic Party is too extreme, gross, and all-over bizarre for the average American voter. Whatever the word is for beyond outside the mainstream, that's where the Democratic Party sits comfortably at its peril. We now have a party that would rather be right than lead. That snobby attitude has led to an avalanche of voters bolting from the Democratic Party. Today's Democrats are progressive, college-educated, and upper-income. They're the definition of privilege, and they're not the majority either. The agenda Democrats have put forward is recognizable and beneficial to those barely making up a quarter of the electorate. You see that with the pervasive antics from the Left about political correctness, being woke, and proper pronouns. These people see white supremacists everywhere, bringing us to Wednesday's House Oversight hearing. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) grilled gun manufacturers for using racist symbols in their marketing (via Daily Caller):

Members of “The Squad,” a group of left-wing members of the House of Representatives, accused firearms manufacturers of using white supremacy in the marketing of firearms Wednesday.

Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts made the claims during a hearing of the House Oversight and Reform Committee targeting the marketing of firearms, claiming that the advertisements used symbols of white supremacy. The representatives referenced advertisements while questioning the CEOs of two firearms manufacturers in a hearing held in the wake of mass shootings in Uvalde, Highland Park, and Buffalo.

“I’d like to draw your attention to that red tattoo featured in your company’s advertisement,” Ocasio-Cortez said to Daniel Defense CEO Marty Daniel. “Do you know what that tattoo is, Mr. Daniel?”

After Daniel said he didn’t, Ocasio-Cortez turned to Kelly Sampson, Senior Counsel and Director of Racial Justice of Brady United, who said the tattoo was a white supremacist symbol.

“So, Mr. Daniel, you may or may not know, but your company’s advertisement prominently displays iconography associated with white supremacist movements,” Ocasio-Cortez said, before pulling up a photo from the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol.

[...]

Pressley questioned Daniel and Ruger CEO Christopher Killoy over a poster during the hearing after an adviser from the Giffords Law Center called it “dangerous,” asking if they would use their positions on the board of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) to halt such advertisements. Daniel and Killoy told Pressley that the NSSF didn’t advertise firearms.

“As long as gun manufacturers have immunity to sell their weapons of war using harmful marketing tactics, black and brown communities will continue to be targeted, and that has got to change,” Pressley claimed. “In the face of white supremacy, my neighbors and I are undeterred in the pursuit of healing and the true justice, and we will not let gunmakers incite violence against us with impunity.”

I know this is a typical day in the life of AOC and her squad. We're playing the Da Vinci Code on phantom white supremacist signs in the firearm industry. No one cares. First, there is no white supremacy marketing strategy with gun makers. This whole hearing is predicated on left-wing psycho-babble. Second, we're in a recession. Baby formula scarcity is still a crisis, the supply chain remains a mess, and we're getting killed at the gas pump. Oh, and of course, you all know about inflation, right? That's what the country cares about, not symbols of white supremacy that aren't real. Joe Biden doesn't think a recession is happening because he chooses to splash around in his pool of delusions. The economy matters to Americans, but AOC and the Democrats are all about global warming, woke action items, and canceling student debt. There are others, but you can see why we're in a recession. Nothing Democrats are passionate about has any tangibles. They wasted so much time on stuff, like arguing that men can get pregnant, that they have no economic agenda other than spending more money which will exacerbate our inflation crisis.

I think AOC does know about the economy. Her Leninist crew knows it too, but they don't care. These antics are the perks of representing super-safe Democratic seats where everyone is just as mentally ill as they are. Solve inflation by just printing more money, right? AOC's agenda is not the mother lode of inflation; it's the country's economic death. That's why, thus far, it is nowhere near becoming law. Until then, we'll have more useless hearings like this where we can "grassy knoll" white supremacy out of existence and whatnot.

Fauci Claims He Never Recommended COVID-19 Lockdowns

Fauci Claims He Never Recommended COVID-19 Lockdowns

By Jack Phillips

0:002:52

White House medical adviser Anthony Fauci claimed Monday that he never recommended “locking anything down” when pressed about what he would do differently regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

“First of all, I didn’t recommend locking anything down,” Fauci replied during an interview published by The Hill’s “Rising” program on Monday, suggesting it had been a recommendation from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

“Go back and look at my statements,” he added, “that we need to do everything we can to keep the schools open and safe.”

Although it’s unclear exactly what Fauci meant by lockdowns, in October 2020, Fauci had publicly recommended that former President Donald Trump “shut the whole country down,” although it’s not clear what he meant as presidents don’t have the authority to hand down sweeping lockdowns.

“When it became clear that we had community spread in the country … I recommended to the president that we shut the country down,” he said in an event with students at the College of the Holy Cross in October 2020.

If the United States didn’t “shut down completely the way China did,” then the spread of COVID-19 wouldn’t be stopped, Fauci continued to say at the time. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since early 2020 has pursued a “zero COVID” strategy that some analysts say is tantamount to economic suicide.

Closing Schools and Bars

In August 2020, Fauci said that public schools should remain closed across the country to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Fauci also publicly suggested multiple times in 2020 that bars and restaurants should remain closed, then arguing that there was a binary choice between opening schools or bars.

“You have a choice—either close the bars or close the schools. Because, if you have people congregating in bars, it’s likely you’re going to stay red,” the longtime head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said in November 2020.

Also during the interview with The Hill, Fauci said there should have been “much more stringent restrictions” imposed on asymptomatic people in 2020.

“We know now, two and a half years later, that anywhere from 50 to 60 percent of the transmission occur from someone without symptoms, either someone who never will get symptoms or someone who is in the pre-symptomatic stage,” he said.

It’s not clear how Fauci came to this conclusion about asymptomatic spread. Physician Aaron Kheriaty wrote for the Brownstone Institute that “no respiratory virus in history” has been known to spread asymptomatically.

“Had we known that then, the insidious nature of spread in the community would have been much more of an alarm and there would have been much, much more stringent restrictions in the sense of very, very heavy, encouraging people to wear masks, physical distancing or what have you,” added Fauci, who again called for mask-wearing in schools, workplaces, and “anything that brings people together in a closed environment” in some areas.
