'Scandal': Vance Hits Bullseye in Shredding Politico for Attempted Cover-Up of Biden's 'Garbage' Comments

For Republicans at least, one of the biggest stories of this presidential election cycle is how Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) has risen to the occasion since GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump chose him to be his vice presidential running mate in July, with Vance and his plainspoken and to the point nature being the perfect complement to Trump's exuberant, sometimes-flamboyant style of campaigning.

On Tuesday, Vance proved his campaign worth once again in the aftermath of President Joe Biden calling Trump supporters "garbage" on a call designed to shore up the Latino vote ahead of Election Day.  As we noted, Biden's remarks effectively sabotaged the big "unity" speech Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris was giving in Washington, DC around the same time.

Vance, as we also reported, wasted no time in going off on Biden, tweeting, "This is disgusting. Kamala Harris and her boss Joe Biden are attacking half of the country.  There's no excuse for this. I hope Americans reject it."

Later, though, Vance called out the Politico news outlet for their shameless attempt at trying to cover up what Biden actually said (the latter of which my colleague Teri Christoph documented here), putting them directly in the hot seat on the Twitter machine and demanding for once that they show a little integrity in their so-called reporting:

As I write this, Lemire and Politico are still trying to play clean-up for Biden over what he said in what can only be described as yet another instance of them blatantly playing favorites so close to a presidential election. Not surprisingly, their tactics mirror the White House's spin on Biden's remarks, too.

The press and Democrats are desperate and as a result, they are pulling out all the stops at this point to do whatever it takes to push the Democrat presidential ticket over the finish line, just as they did with the "50+ former intelligence officials" story in October 2020 regarding the Hunter Biden laptop.

I cannot stress enough the importance of voters soundly rejecting this latest effort at media-driven election interference on November 5th. The MSM needs to be taught another valuable lesson on this front and the best way to do that is by demonstrating at the ballot box next week via your choice for president and vice president that their shamelessly manipulative tactics no longer work.

Dems Are Privately Admitting That Kamala Is Going to Lose

Dems Are Privately Admitting That Kamala Is Going to Lose

It’s a bit jarring that it took them this long, but better late than never. Or is it? On July 21, President Joe Biden decided he was too old and slow to run for another term. And by that, I mean every top Democratic lawmaker and donor pushed him out the door. Kamala Harris was installed as the new candidate. She got a bunch of money, re-energized the base, and is finishing this election not all that much better than Biden would have arguably.

Less than two weeks from Election Day, the Kamala campaign has collapsed. She’s either tied or trailing former President Donald Trump, who will likely have his support base underestimated by pollsters. If you’re a Democrat, a tie with Trump is the kiss of death. It shows that you can have all the money in the world, if you’re a bad candidate it doesn’t matter much. For weeks, Harris has not answered questions regarding her legislative goals and how she’d be different from Joe Biden. That’s the least of it. With her campaign in freefall, Democrats are now resigned to a Kamala loss on election night (via Axios):

A growing number of top Democrats tell us privately they feel Vice President Harris will lose — even though polls show a coin-toss finish 11 days from now.

Why it matters: Democrats admit they tend to be hand-wringing, bed-wetting, doomsdayers. But what's striking is how our private conversations with Democrats inside and outside her campaign reveal broad concern that little she does, says — or tries — seems to move the needle.

[…]

Between the lines: We're not saying Harris is losing or will lose. An earlier "Behind the Curtain" column spelled out why this is toss-up America.

Our reporting simply reflects scores of conversations with people close to Harris and intimately involved in swing-state races, including officials inside her campaign and top Biden administration officials.

Harris' rhetorical journey has mirrored Democratic moods — from "joy" over the summer to darkness this week, when she painted Trump as a dangerous fascist.

What we're hearing: In a troubling sign for the campaign, top Democrats are already starting to point fingers at who'd be more responsible for a Harris loss — President Biden for dragging his feet, or Harris herself. "Going down?" a top Democratic official texted.

Democrats fear she has made too many different cases against Trump, and still hasn't fully revealed herself to voters, who crave to know more.

"She is who she is," one longtime Democratic strategist said. "Let's hope it's enough."

[…]

…Democrats once felt very good about Nevada, a state Biden won in 2020. But early voting has them panicked. Jon Ralston, the top Nevada election expert, writes that the surge in early rural Republican voting — a "rural tsunami" — is ominous for Harris: "There is no good news in these numbers for Dems."

Pennsylvania continues to worry Harris, despite Biden winning there in 2020. Among the seven swing states, it's the one campaign insiders think she absolutely has to win, with signs of GOP momentum in the state's Senate race.

We’re days away from the final showdown. Trump has regained the momentum. Keep grinding, vote, and let’s finish this—we have them on the run.

HOT TAKES: Kamala Harris' Ellipse Speech: 'Closing Argument' or Nail in the Coffin?

HOT TAKES: Kamala Harris' Ellipse Speech: 'Closing Argument' or Nail in the Coffin?

Kamala Harris, draped in a dark pantsuit with a white silk blouse, made her closing argument to the American people as her campaign reaches its final days. Her so-called "Turn the Page" speech was immediately overshadowed by her boss, President Joe Biden. As my colleague Sister Toldjah covered, Biden undercut his VP with this brain-dead commentary.

So much for Harris owning the news cycle. Between Trump and Biden, Harris will be lucky if they remember she's running.

Seriously, there are political folks who have said that Joe Biden is not doing this to Harris deliberately. I have serious doubts that this is the case. While this article is supposed to be about the hot takes of her speech, what is dominating X-world is Biden calling half the country garbage. Way to foster unity. And even better way to knee-cap the coup candidate.

Yeah, no calculation here whatsoever.

But there was a speech, and Kamala Harris gave it, ably reading off the teleprompter with the proper degree of practiced passion and emotion. The content of the speech? A cobbling of "Orange Man Bad, I came from a middle-class family, Project 2025 is evil," with the same warmed-over/stolen policies and lies she's been peddling on the stump.

Minus any new accent. Kind of disappointing.

What was interesting was that Harris began her speech when loud sirens started to blare in the background. Also disappointing: They were not coming to take her away.

But not all felt the speech was a disaster. Kamala had her cheerleaders, along with the detractors.

Most of Harris' rehashed moments were repeating the "Fine People" hoax, the debunked "Suckers and Losers" phrase, and claiming Donald Trump would use the military against people who disagree with him. Conveniently forgetting that her administration mounted a J-6 commission that jailed people for trespassing and is giving stiff sentences out to pro-life grandmas who pray in front of abortion clinics.

So much unity. You can feel it.

Fox News Senior Correspondent Bill Melugin summarized Harris' lies remarks about the border.

Newsflash, Kamala. Last time I checked, Tren de Aragua and Haitian migrants are very scary to most people, and it doesn't take a politician to convince them.

In typical Harris fashion, the speech lasted a little over 30 minutes, but even that was an exceptionally long time to say not much. It is no surprise that she is dodging a three-hour Joe Rogan interview.

Bob Hoge's missus pretty much summed up the evening.

After tonight, let's hope the majority of Americans agree with Roxanne and vote accordingly.
