Why People Don’t Like Illegal Immigration

Why People Don’t Like Illegal Immigration

On Coney Island, a woman is raped at knifepoint while her boyfriend is beaten with a pipe by a second criminal:

Two migrants were arrested for a knifepoint rape in Coney Island – including one who was released from jail less than two months ago after sexually assaulting a different woman at a city-funded shelter, authorities said Monday.

“Migrant” is the currently approved euphemism for illegal immigrant.

Daniel Davon-Bonilla, 24, of Nicaragua, allegedly grabbed a 46-year-old woman and threw her to the ground before raping her while holding a knife to her throat Sunday around 9 p.m. under the Riegelmann Boardwalk, cops and the sources said.

His alleged accomplice, identified as Mexican migrant Leovando Moreno, 37, is accused of striking the woman’s 34-year-old boyfriend with a pipe when he tried to stop the vicious assault, the sources said.

While the linked story is a little unclear, I take it that both criminals were illegals.

It wasn’t the first sex crime bust for Davon-Bonilla, who is believed to have crossed the US border illegally in Texas in December 2022.

Four months later, he was arrested for allegedly raping a woman at a La Quinta Hotel on Third Avenue in Park Slope that was turned into a migrant shelter.

He spent about a year behind bars before taking a plea deal that put him back on the streets in June, according to corrections officials and Brooklyn prosecutors.

So this guy had already raped another woman at a migrant shelter, for which he served only a year in prison. That experience apparently didn’t leave a deep impression. This rape occurred outside a migrant shelter, too. Strangely, most Americans don’t want migrant shelters in their neighborhoods.

Apart from the absurdly light sentence for this illegal’s prior rape, there is another question:

It was not clear why Davon-Bonilla was allowed to remain in the US after he was released from jail in June.

Right. Illegal immigrant, convicted rapist. He should be deported, right? That would be true if the Biden/Harris administration had any interest in enforcing our laws–their primary constitutional duty–or protecting American citizens. But for them, those are not serious considerations compared to the Democratic Party’s need to import many millions of present and future voters.

Great Britain is currently being roiled by anti-immigration riots that span the British Isles. The Home Secretary complains that Britons have lost respect for the law:

Britain has lost respect for the police, the Home Secretary has claimed in the wake of the riots.

Writing for The Telegraph, she said a soft approach to justice had led too many people to “feel as though crime has no consequences”.

Crime has no consequences? Gosh, where could people have gotten that impression? The current riots were triggered by a knife attack on a group of small children in which three girls, ages nine, seven and six, were murdered by a young son of African immigrants (not, as initially rumored, a Muslim). The perception in England is that a long series of violent crimes committed by immigrants have been only lightly punished. That perception is probably correct. And it wouldn’t be surprising if Americans, based on this Coney Island case and many others, start drawing the same conclusion.
