Reset button for Israel? Not in a good way

Seth Leibsohn: "Take a look at the new Pew Global Attitudes survey the WaPo editorial makes mention of ...

Wapo: "ONE OF THE MORE striking results of the Obama administration's first six months is that one major country actually has worse relations with the United States than it did in January: Israel. The new administration has pushed a reset button with Russia and sent new ambassadors to Syria and Venezuela; it has offered olive branches to Cuba and Burma. But for nearly three months it has been locked in a public confrontation with Israel over Jewish housing construction in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

"But now get this from the survey: There is little evidence that support for suicide bombing in the Muslim world has decreased. In the Palestinian territories — you know, where we are appeasing — support for suicide bombings is at 68%, and this year such support has actually increased in places like Egypt, Indonesia, Nigeria, Lebanon, and Turkey. Finally: Osama bin Laden is more popular in the Palestinian territories than Barack Obama. Aren't you glad we're pressuring Israel?"
