              THE WAY I SEE IT   by Don Polson  Red Bluff Daily News   10/18/2022

Truth, justice means Republican vote

Reminder: Republican H.Q. is a canopy with signs, etc. across from Taco Bell. Volunteer, please.

For commendable reasons, votes for Brian Dahle for governor, and for Doug LaMalfa for Congress, are not futile in State Senator Dahle’s case, nor to be taken for granted in Congressman LaMalfa’s case. While you’ll find “choir preaching,” and heartfelt appeals to the “better angels” in our Democrat friends here; and while Tehama County’s 20,000 voters (10-15,000 of which vote) are swamped by California’s Democrat urban megalopolises, votes for Brian and Doug are votes to be proud of.

Checking the box for Dahle is recognition of the disastrous rule of Gov. Gavin Newsom and California’s lunatic left in Sacramento, Los Angeles, and Bay (-ing at the moon) Area. The Newsom-ists 1) imposed overly-onerous, wrong-headed and science-denying pandemic restrictions; 2) implemented futile and foolish energy policies in a state rivalling oil-rich nations for life- and economy-sustaining fossil fuels (try living without them); and 3) care not a whit that CA students underperform their peers elsewhere, and that California’s middle-class is voting with their moving vans for political and economic freedom.

August polling suggests that Newsom’s 62 percent election-winning, and recall-defeating, margins may drop to just over 50 percent, suggesting “Goliath” is not invulnerable to Dahle’s “David.”

A vote for Democrat Max Steiner—who is as likely to replace LaMalfa as Dahle is to replace Newsom—is little more than a vote to embrace Nancy Pelosi (cue “ick” factor) and her not-so-merry party of fanatical, “progressive” (“regressive,” really) anti-American, anti-conservative hate-mongers and socialists. My column, “Fascism is as fascists do,” called out the despotic left for its tyranny-loving ways.

Doug LaMalfa has represented what Tehama County’s sensible Republicans believe; and he’ll assume a more influential conservative role under Republican majority rule in Congress. Vote LaMalfa, Dahle.

“Truth and justice,” not unlike “Peace and freedom,” can be a slogan, movement, party name—or simply communicate what needs restoration; it’s in the eye of the beholder.

To wit: Falsehoods and injustices surrounding Biden’s economic blather and his Justice Department’s “law-fare” persecution of political opponents; abominable pandemic mandates, and their economic, educational and constitutional fallout; phony environmentalism masquerading as “end is near” climate doom-and-gloom, and attendant punishment of nonconforming disbelievers;

Election fraud—and fraud-deniers who’ve whipped half the nation into hysteria against “election integrity,” and honest voting, as the path to national comity and acceptance of election results; despicable lies, character assassination and Democrat-sanctioned prosecutions and violence directed at pro-life advocates and the so-called “Christian nationalist” movement. These undermine American “democracy.”

Biden’s arrogance, “chutzpah,” and bold-faced prevarications dwarf any previous American president: His recession-denialism, his “zero” or “just an inch” of inflation laughers, now foresees only a “slight” recession—like Putin’s “minor incursion” into Ukraine. Witness “rolling-on-the-floor” warnings that “If Republicans win, inflation is going to get worse. It’s that simple” … and they’ll get rid of “savings on your utility bills.”

No worries for retirees, since your 8.7 percent S.S. “cost of living” boost will mostly cover sub-10 % inflation for fruits, vegetables, ham, apparel, rent and used cars. Bread, milk, coffee (15 %), chicken and gasoline (18%), and eggs and utility gas (30+ percent)—sorry, do without. No one believes Republicans will take away Social Security or Medicare, so Biden just projects what he’s already done onto scary Republicans. Hypocrite.

“The Dems have got it down to a science: Lie about every single thing under the sun, make the lies as big as possible, and just keep repeating those lies until everybody gets tired of pointing out that they’re lies. It’s an endurance test. Exhaust reality. Make the truth a chore.” (Jim Treacher) “It’s Over For The Economy” (J. Carter): Vote for Democrats if you want further economic destruction; a Republican Congress stops the slide.

Biden begged the Saudis to delay production cuts, keeping gas prices down, until after the midterms.

On one hand, this endless cacophony of “MAGA Republicans are ‘election deniers’ and a threat to democracy itself” requires a “suspension of disbelief” that fraud and cheating had any impact on the 2020 election (I’ve shown that it did—polling shows most Americans agree).

On the other hand, “New Video Confirms That Democrats Invented Election Denial; Matt Orfalea gives a devastating indictment of the Left’s rampant, widespread, and profound refusal to accept Trump’s presidency.” It’s 5-minutes of prominent Democrats denying Donald Trump’s Presidential legitimacy, repeating endlessly, nauseatingly, that he “stole it” by cheating with Russian help—well after those nonsense claims were proven to be false, made up by paid propagandists under Hillary Clinton’s purview.

Democrats now fight to preserve their “status quo” of massive mail-in voting, drop boxes, left-wing money boosting only their side, illegal “vote harvesting,” and ballot “curing.” Impartial judges have struck it all down as unlawful and unconstitutional manipulations of legislative election procedures.

Seeking further creative manipulation, “Yes, Biden Is Hiding His Plan To Rig The 2022 Midterm Elections,” by Mollie Hemingway (6/23/22). By “hiding,” she means “The White House is refusing to share details about its coordinated efforts to engage in a federal takeover of election administration…

“When President Biden ordered all 600 federal agencies to ‘expand citizens’ opportunities to register to vote and to obtain information about, and participate in, the electoral process’ on March 7, 2021, Republican politicians, Constitutional scholars, and election integrity specialists began to worry exactly what was up his sleeve.” No federal agencies are authorized by Congress to engage in voter outreach and registration; but that is exactly what Biden et al ordered the federal government to do on behalf of Democrat political operations.
