Occupy Students Shout Down Brewer

In their latest bold stand for free speech, unruly Occupy students at American University in Washington, D.C., shouted down Republican governor Jan Brewer of Arizona on Friday, forcing her to flee the room with aid from security guards.

The College Fix contributor Emily Schrader has the exclusive story:
Even though many in the audience had gathered to hear the governor speak, they instead had to listen to students scream, “The people, united, will never be defeated,” among other things that weren’t really coherent thoughts. The unruly students also lectured the crowd that “racism won’t be tolerated” at AU. . . .
If AU Occupy was serious about its accusations of racism, how much more productive would it have been to ask some tough questions and engage in a respectful dialogue on the issues?
Instead, students chose to deny the free speech of another in order to draw attention to themselves. Their behavior is nothing more than a college-aged group temper tantrum.
Check out video footage of the rowdy ordeal.
