And in Other News, an Islamic Terrorist Attacks in… Utah

And in Other News, an Islamic Terrorist Attacks in… Utah

While the attention of most Americans is focused on the war with Iran, the state of the economy, and another possible return of the McRib, the Islamic jihad quietly and inexorably continues to advance. Last Friday, it came to Sandy, Utah, where it had appeared before, courtesy of the same jihad terrorist on both occasions.

And so the inevitable question arises: Why was a jihad terrorist running around loose in Sandy, Utah, after he had been charged with terrorism in Oct. 2024? No answer, however, is yet forthcoming.

Salt Lake City’s KSL reported Friday that Sayed Mousavi, who was “previously charged for making terrorism threats against the Sandy police department was shot and killed by a Utah Highway Patrol trooper last Friday afternoon on I-15.” Why was he out roaming around on I-15 after making terrorism threats against the Sandy police department?

The latest incident began when Mousavi, who lives in Sandy, “hit the trooper’s vehicle about 5 p.m. near 4500 South on I-15, and kept going, before coming to a stop near 3500 South, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.” The trooper in the wounded vehicle then approached Mousavi in his car, but found him in no mood to offer either excuses or apologies.

Instead, Mousavi “got out of his car on the freeway” and “allegedly pulled out a knife, ‘leading to the trooper discharging their firearm,’” according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. Mousavi was killed.

All this followed the Oct. 2024 incident, after which Mousavi was “charged with terrorism, failure to respond to an officer’s signal to stop and driving on a suspended or revoked license after fleeing from police.” As if that weren’t enough, “after he was arrested, Mousavi allegedly said he was going to shoot up the Sandy Police Department and stated several times that as soon as he was released, he would kill Americans.”

Salt Lake City’s KUTV reported in Nov. 2024 that Mousavi actually threatened not only to "kill Americans,” but to “kill the U.S.A." He declared that he was going to "buy guns and shoot up the Sandy Police Department." That incident started when Sandy police officers “noticed Mousavi was in a car that had been reported as stolen.” There is a certain Keystone Kops aspect to all this: “They tried to stop him three times, but he drove off all three times and gave officers ‘the middle finger,’ the DA's Office said.”

Mousavi wasn’t able to elude the cops indefinitely: “An officer eventually disabled the car and took Mousavi into custody.” When they did, they searched his car and found a paper on which was written: "Pressure Israel to cease fire with killing significant jews in Gaza. And lets take non hostage. Only soldiers/male government. Conduct assignation of leaders. Attack Military sites with most expensive bombs. Plant bombs inside Z-jets."

The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office noted that a Sandy City police officer identified only as Biggs carted Mousavi off to jail, and while they were on the way, “the defendant told Officer Biggs that he was going to kill Americans and kill the U.S.A., and to watch the news in two weeks to a month if the officer did not believe him.”

After that, the media trail goes cold until Sayed Mousavi shows up in the news again for attacking the cop on I-15 and getting himself killed. It is clear from that fact, however, that despite his threats to kill Americans as soon as he was released, he was released anyway, and given ample opportunity to make good on his threats.

There is no indication of what Sayed Mousavi was doing between Nov. 2024 and March 2026, but it’s clear that when he had his fatal encounter with a police officer on I-15, he had been itching for a confrontation. Otherwise, he would not have hit the police vehicle and driven away, or pulled a knife when approached.

So why was he loose and able to provoke that confrontation? If he was not a U.S. citizen, he should have been deported. If he was a citizen, his terrorist threats should have been taken more seriously. It is likely, however, that the still prevalent fantasy that Islam is a religion of peace and that those who contend otherwise are contemptible purveyors of “Islamophobia” played a significant role. Sayed Mousavi was treated as if he were a man who simply lost his temper, rather than one on a mission for a malevolent god. The longer the denial and willful ignorance of Americans continue, the more Sayed Mousavis there will be.

Things don’t look good for the Trump administration on the birthright citizenship case. There seems to be a strong majority skeptical of their challenge to the legal idea, even though one might argue that the Founders never envisioned millions of people crossing our border without wanting to assimilate, breeding like rabbits to claim many benefits paid for by us taxpayers.

How can someone, for example, meet the domicile benchmark when existing law states that those entering the US illegally can be deported if caught by the police?

When Justice Gorsuch questioned if the government was citing Roman law, it was not the best start, but at least that wing of the court was going off precedent or inquiring about it through the Constitution. Yet Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s example was, well, incoherent. It did provide some grade-A reactions, though:

I mean, what is happening, folks?

No doubt the other eight jurists were second-hand embarrassed by this.

Our Own Ruling Class Desperately Wants to Lose This War

What’s more treacherous and treasonous than wishing your own country gets defeated in war, especially by a bunch of goat-molesting seventh-century pagan savages whose primitive mindset is matched only by their grotesque perversions? Well, the disgusting perversions part is merely a collateral reason why members of America’s donkey party seem to have such an affinity for Iran’s rulers – the mullahs, with their bizarre bestiality and grotesque handmaiden dogma, and the San Francisco Democrats, with their furry-friendly gender-spazz grossness, collectively share the worst figurative collective browser in the history of ever. Yet, it’s more than their joint commitment to degeneracy that binds them together in a desire for America to lose this campaign. The Democrats hate America, and they think it will help them politically if America can be humiliated. But more than that, seeing America lose also satisfies the evil lurking inside them.

It’s not just about Donald Trump. That’s where people get confused. Oh, they hate Donald Trump, to be sure. He is aesthetically displeasing to them, rejecting their carefully curated image of what it means to be in the American ruling class. It’s not just his style, but his attitude. They find him vulgar and crude because he ignores their complex and emasculating social conventions that enforce collectivist commie conformity. They also hate him because he has money, and much of our ruling class really doesn’t – for example, most regime media scribblers would double their income if only they knew how to do plumbing or drive a truck. There’s a gulf between their prestige and their pay, and Trump’s flagrant celebration of his own riches generates the greenest of envy.

But they also hate him because he’s a class traitor. He understands them because he was one of them until he got tired of them, and he has nothing but contempt for them. He knows they’re weak, stupid, and greedy, and he won’t honor their pretensions to intelligence and competence. Trump was a guy who had to build tall buildings. He either did it right, or the buildings fell. His opponents build nothing. They talk and write. They suffer no consequences for failure, and his critique of their fecklessness is the closest they’ll get to accountability. They hate him for that.

But that’s all personal. That’s why they hate Trump as an individual. But Donald Trump also operates as an avatar for the normal Americans he represents. What the ruling caste really hates is you. They hate normal people. They hate people who devote themselves to faith, family, and the Flag. They have to. They need to hate you because, through hating you, these unaccomplished hacks find a purpose and meaning. They don’t go out and slay dragons. They go out and nag people on Twitter. We, on the other hand, largely live real lives. Many of us are veterans – and we have seen it get real. Occasionally, someone in the ruling class does a tour in the Army and milks it forever – Happy March 29th, Vietnam Veterans Day, to the hero of the Tet Offensive, Senator Dick Blumenthal! – but being in the military is dirty and icky, and you’re stuck with people who are also dirty and icky. You know, Americans.

They do jobs where they talk and despise Americans who have jobs where they sweat. Remember, among our ruling class, the ultimate gig is to sit and run your mouth. Look, there’s nothing wrong with running your mouth for a job – I do it – but if that’s the only thing you’ve ever done, that breaks your mind. I’ve worked at McDonald’s, been fired from Denny’s for gross incompetence, been a private in the army, and jockeyed rental cars at San Francisco Airport, where everyone in the lot was either a college student on break or a convict on parole. Your past is probably similarly colorful. But the color of our ruling class’s past is flat white. They went to the University of College, then they started writing somewhere, and that’s it. They never sweat, never bled, and probably never drove a car with a stick shift or a V8.

We are not the same. They were the student government geeks and drama dorks in high school. As all adults know, adulthood is simply high school writ large. Much of our ruling class is collectively trying to get revenge on us for never getting invited to drink Coors behind the gym in high school.

Barack Obama gave the game away with his clinging to their guns and religion quote, as did Hillary Clinton with her basket of deplorables gaffe. Our ruling class, to which the Democrats are devoted – the party hasn’t been a workingman’s party since back when everybody agreed that a man can’t menstruate – distinguishes itself by its great self-regard rather than by its great achievements. It has no great achievements. What has our ruling class achieved in the last 60 years? Vietnam? The Iranian Revolution? The Iraq War? The Wall Street collapse? Obamacare? Grindr? Our ruling class has failed and everything. Is there anyone out there who thinks the world is better now than it was in the 80s? Certainly not anyone who lived in the 80s. Sure, the Berlin Wall fell, and the Soviet Union collapsed, but that was despite our ruling class, thanks to the efforts of Ronald Reagan, who is a lot Trumpier than the Trump haters will ever give him credit for. Yet despite failure after failure after failure, our ruling class still believes they are geniuses.

We, normal people, know the truth, and our failure to genuflect to our alleged betters grates at them. How dare we! We, normal people, are the essence of America, and that makes our ruling class hate America. It seems strange that they would hate what they seek to rule over, but Satan does, so why not The Squad? Understand that they are powered by an all-encompassing contempt for people like you and me, and our patriotism and love of country require that these people despise their own country. America is bad, they believe, built on a foundation of racism, genocide, and transphobia, and all sorts of other badnesses. Since none of them has a religion, this ideology has to serve as a substitute. We are their heretics, their demons, their anti-wokes, and they want us to pay.

Which means they want our country to pay. They were positively giddy when a lucky drone shot killed a half-dozen Americans. They were delighted when a random missile hit took out one aircraft on the ground in Saudi Arabia. They are hoping against hope that they can somehow turn a military campaign of unprecedented skill and daring into a disaster. In the first few days of this war, we decapitated the entire Iranian government. We shattered their nuclear program. We destroyed their air force, sank their navy, and generally blew the snot out of anything worth blowing the snot out of. Our planes fly through their skies unmolested. The Democrats and their allies among the disaffected grifter class are reduced to claiming that Iran’s ability to fire the occasional missile indicates America has been completely defeated. They are aided in this propaganda initiative by the regime media, which got the memo. They must turn this victory into defeat, and they’re trying to do it. They’re not doing it very well, in the sense that anyone who is not a complete moron sees through it. But then again, nearly half of America voted for Kamala Harris, so America has a significant moron problem.

They want us to lose because they think America, and therefore Americans, deserve defeat. They also want Trump to lose because they think it’s going to help them politically. So, we now have our ruling class largely rooting for these retrograde barbarians to somehow pull victory from the jaws of defeat. And the regime media will help; no matter how this ends, all the networks and the newspapers are going to tell you that this war was a failure. But you know how you know it’s not a failure? Because there’s no head ayatollah running around. The former one got blasted to bits. His son probably did too; right now, his legendary impotence is the least of his medical concerns. Oh, and the fact that all of Iran’s ships are resting at the bottom of the ocean, there are no planes left, and they can only squeeze off a couple of shots from random drone and rocket launchers every day, is a pretty good indicator of victory. Never in history has there been such a comprehensive defeat of an entire modern nation in such a short time.

Still, people in our own country wish for our defeat, and if those wishes aren’t granted, they’ll try to manufacture a defeat. It’s bizarre to see so many Americans so eager for America to lose, but that’s where we are right now. We’ve got Americans who want Americans to lose a war to a generational enemy with American blood on its paws. They ought to be ashamed of themselves, but they have no shame. Shame goes hand in hand with accountability, and they can’t accept the idea that they are accountable to anyone other than their own class. But just remember what’s happening here. Remember how much they must hate you to want their own country to be defeated by a bunch of fanatical freaks. And govern yourself accordingly.

Panic at the DNC: Schumer, Jeffries Sue Over Trump's Mail-In Ballot Fraud Crackdown

Panic at the DNC: Schumer, Jeffries Sue Over Trump's Mail-In Ballot Fraud Crackdown

The Democratic National Committee, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, along with their major campaign arms, filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday to block President Trump’s executive order cracking down on mail-in voting rules ahead of the midterms.

The order, as reported by RedState's Ward Clark earlier this week, requires federal agencies to verify U.S. citizenship using Social Security and DHS data, directs the Postal Service to send absentee ballots only to voters on approved state lists, and uses unique barcodes for tracking.

The swift and aggressive legal response reeks of panic from Democrats who have spent years defending the current system as an ironclad defense of democracy. It's a blatant attempt to stop the President from taking a straightforward step to stop potential fraud. Why would the resistance party be in such stark opposition to fighting fraud?

The groups named in the lawsuit contend that Trump is trying to "rewrite election rules for his own perceived partisan advantage."

Which, you know, pot, meet kettle.

"Our Constitution's Framers anticipated this kind of desire for absolute power. They recognized the menace it would pose to ordered liberty and the ways in which it would corrode self-government like an acid," the complaint reads. "That careful division of authority has held fast against President Trump's attacks."

Trump Signals When 'Operation Epic Fury' May End, Owns Journalist Fearmongering About Iran Threats

Trump's executive order addresses a commonsense issue that a vast majority of Americans concur with: "The right to vote in Federal elections is reserved exclusively for citizens of the United States under the Constitution and Federal law."

"Unlike the Biden Administration, which pursued its political agenda instead of fair elections, President Trump is putting the American people back in charge," a White House fact sheet reads.

The measure would be wholly unnecessary if not for Senate Republicans' inability to pass the SAVE America Act. And the President has said he will take action one way or another before the midterms. America can't afford a stolen election.

"The Democrats refuse to vote for Voter I.D., or Citizenship. The reason is very simple — They want to continue to cheat in Elections," Trump wrote on social media. "This was not what our Founders desired."

He promised to develop a legal argument that he'll articulate to the American people shortly.

"There will be Voter I.D. for the Midterm Elections, whether approved by Congress or not!" he promised.

The President will need to have that solid legal argument in his back pocket going forward with his mail-in ballot move. There was little doubt that the Democrats would try to bog this executive order down in the courts, as they do with every attempt to secure the nation.

They didn't disappoint here.

The lawsuit’s overheated rhetoric about “absolute power” will play well in certain courtrooms and media newsrooms, but it rings hollow to anyone paying attention. It rings hollow to the average American who simply wants to be confident in their elections. To people who want to be assured their vote isn't being negated by fraudulent ballots.

Trump warned that if Democrats regain power, they will add two new states, expand the Supreme Court from nine to 21 justices, and eliminate the filibuster in their first week after regaining power.

"Our Country will never be the same if they allow these demented and evil people to knowingly, and happily, destroy it," he observed.

The president is simply demanding basic citizenship checks and verified mail-in ballot lists—measures that every American should support regardless of party. Only the Democrats take issue with election integrity.

With midterms looming, this frantic lawsuit isn’t about defending democracy or voter rights; it’s about preserving a system that has proven vulnerable to abuse. Who will the courts side with?

The Day Nothing Happened — and Everything Changed

Holy Saturday feels like nothing.

No miracles. No voice. No movement.

Christ is in the tomb, the disciples are scattered, and heaven is silent. If Good Friday feels like tragedy, Holy Saturday feels like absence.

But Scripture never treats silence as emptiness. Silence is where God does His deepest work.

Holy Saturday is not inactive. It is formation.

To understand it, we must return to the beginning—not to the Cross, but to the first man.

“The Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam…” (Genesis 2:21–22). And while he slept, something extraordinary happened. From his side, the bride was formed. Not alongside him. From him. And not while he acted—but while he slept. This is not an incidental detail. It is a revelation. The first marriage is born from: "a pierced side," a mysterious sleep, and a hidden act of God.

That pattern does not disappear. It returns—fully—in Christ. On Holy Saturday, Christ—the new Adam—lies in the tomb. His side has already been opened. Blood and water have already flowed (John 19:34). And now, in what appears to be stillness, something is happening. The Church is being formed.

The early Christians understood this immediately. The blood and water flowing from Christ’s side were not random details. They were signs: Blood—Eucharist; Water—Baptism (John 3:5; CCC §1225). The life of the Church flows from Him.

The Bride is not assembled externally. She is born from within.

Modern thinking struggles here because it assumes that if nothing is visible, nothing is happening. So Holy Saturday becomes a placeholder. A narrative gap. A day to skip over. But Scripture insists on something else. Seeds grow in darkness. Life forms in the womb unseen. Covenants mature in hiddenness.

There is another dimension to this day, preserved in the earliest Christian tradition. Christ descends to the dead: not as a victim, but as a victor (1 Peter 3:19; Apostles’ Creed). He goes to gather Adam, Abraham, David—all those who lived in hope of the promise. This is not just liberation. It is an assembly. The Bride is being gathered across time.

What Holy Saturday reveals is a principle we cannot afford to miss: true union is formed before it is revealed. Marriage does not begin at the ceremony. The vows make visible what has already been forming. So too here: Friday initiates the covenant; Saturday forms the Bride; Sunday reveals the union.

At the center of this mystery is a paradox that defines both redemption and marriage: the place of wounding becomes the place of life. From the side of Christ—opened in violence—comes the Church. What appeared as loss becomes generation. This is not poetic language. It is the pattern of divine love.

And it tells us something essential about marriage itself. Real love is not the avoidance of suffering. It is the transformation of it. The Bride is not formed from comfort. She is formed from sacrifice. Holy Saturday, then, is not empty. It is the hidden hour where love takes form. But what is hidden cannot remain hidden forever.

The Bride has been formed. Now she must see the Bridegroom.
