The People Dancing Over the Trump Indictment Will Slip and Fall on His Next Poll Numbers
The drip, drip, drip of the Trump indictments continue, as Special Counsel Jack Smith announced four indictment counts Tuesday, two on conspiracy and the other two on obstruction. This newest indictment is pure horse hockey. Everyone knows it, even the Democrats, Leftists, and Never Trumpers who are once again dancing on his grave. Just the language of “Conspiracy to Defraud the United States,” sounds like something out of Minority Report. Pre-fraud, rather than Pre-crime, and another ridiculous attempt to make J6 into something that it never was.
But dance they will, high on the euphoria of sticking it to the enemy.
What amazes me is the same people who condemn an activist SCOTUS and bemoan Trump-appointed judges are crowing that Judge Tanya S. Chutkan was appointed by President Barack Obama and that she has passed out overly harsh sentences to the J6 prisoners, even when she was begged for leniency.
But nothing seems more ridiculous than the political class crowing over this, spouting about the rule of law and justice being served with all the subtlety of telenovela actors. Defrocked former House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff likes the rule of law when it is applied to his opponents, but not so much when it is applied to his conduct.
The other useless California congressman, Rep. Ted Lieu knows a lot about corruption because he swims in it like a fish in water.
The MSNBC fauxnalist—heck, faux everything, Malcolm Nance wins the prize for drunken glee and weaving fantasies. But then, he’s been proven to be good at that.
But with this particular indictment, we move quickly from the ridiculous to the egregious. Mr. Seventh Place, former Vice President Mike Pence already threw Trump under the bus on J6, while wrapping himself in the blanket of the Constitution. Now he’s using this latest indictment as an opportunity to back over Trump’s body.
Today’s indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States.
Our country is more important than one man. Our constitution is more important than any one man’s career. On January 6th, Former President Trump demanded that I choose between him and the Constitution. I chose the Constitution and I always will.

I will have more to say about the government’s case after reviewing the indictment. The former president is entitled to the presumption of innocence but with this indictment, his candidacy means more talk about January 6th and more distractions.

Sure, Jan. Pence claiming the moral high ground for his actions on January 6 while complaining about the Trump indictment leading to more talk about January 6 and distractions is pretty damn rich. The most delicious part of this self-serving thread is the ratio.
Epic.
Candidate Basement Dweller, former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson, also tried to claim the moral high ground, while playing his tiny violin.
Trump is morally bankrupt and downright indecent. Send money.
After Trump’s last indictment, his fundraising haul was $4 million in one day. While I haven’t gotten any text messages yet, no doubt that machine is ramping up for another major haul. The increased legal bills with this newest indictment will require it, and with the naked attempt to move the news cycle away from the Biden Crime Family, Americans are primed to stick a thumb in the eye of the Trump-hating public by contributing to the battle cry. As Trump likes to say, “They’re not after me, they’re after you.” What the cackling class doesn’t understand is that that phrase gets more and more believable as this freak show goes on.
And what of the poll numbers? Five days ago, Trump was still ahead of the Republican pack, polling more than 40 points ahead of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Political observers will be up early to see what the polls render on Wednesday. Should they show no change or an increase, the grave dancers will go back to gnashing their teeth and rending their garments.
