Don's Tuesday Column

          THE WAY I SEE IT   by Don Polson  Red Bluff Daily News   12/22/2020

Are things better or worse at 70?

It is tempting to chalk it up as “The worst birthday, ever.” I’m grateful for waking up on the “green side of the grass” but the physical decline is dispiriting. Surgeries for knees with connective tissue issues gave relief. Thyroid, prostate and blood pressure conditions have drugs.

It could be worse, considering the demise of my 7+ year younger sister who struggled with diabetes; or my 3-year younger brother with foot bone issues that won’t get fixed without giving up driving for months. Seeing older skiers safely enjoying downhill thrills encourages us to keep skiing with caution. Getting out of the recliner helps fading legs. Past athletic fitness? A dream.

Non-decrepit aspects of life have never been better: Having a loving wife of 35 years whose disposition is to always be nice to me, although I often don’t deserve it. Having a modestly affluent retirement is due to—younger readers take note—living below our means and habitually setting aside funds that many simply spend on trifles.

Having a modest home in Tehama County’s open spaces, friendly populace and clean air delivers enjoyment of spring, fall and non-snowbound winters, when not in our (even more modest) Bend, Oregon, ski shack. A rolling cabin and driving skills allows escape from the heat and urban life for waterfront campsites, neighborly campers and even cleaner air, smoky summer fires aside.

Political, electoral thievery and skullduggery has never, in my adult life, risen to the level of undermining the foundation of our constitutional, representative democracy. Stolen votes: ugh. It’s demoralized this writer and conservative advocate; there’s no peace of mind on my 70th birthday.

Looking back over decades of elections, with votes for or against candidates—win or lose, results could be accepted: My votes for Clinton (I admit to my regret), G. W. Bush (2 times) and Trump (in 2016) gave a sense of winning; votes for Dole, McCain and Romney left a tolerable sense of loss. Republicans know other elections loom ahead; campaigns and candidates will put the best case forward; persuasion works or it doesn’t.

  It’s deeply disappointing and unnerving to have witnessed the best president in decades, Donald J. Trump, never enjoy a moment’s respite from truly baseless aspersions, accusations, charges, investigations, even impeachment, over the most “trumped up” falsehoods and ad hominin attacks ever leveled at an American leader in our history. Never a single provable case of collusion or conspiracy with Russians, Ukrainians, or any other enemies of America; no racism, corruption or treason.

The same shameful crowd that pursued and promulgated the above evidence-free charges and character assassination now wants Trump and his 74+ million supporters to say, “Oh, never mind, let bygones rest in the past.” What’s galling in the extreme is Big Media, Big Tech, the Deep State, Big Hollywood and Big Ed act in tandem to inflict continuous political assassination and de-legitimization—only to arrogantly tell us that the “election” of His Fraudulency, Joe Biden, and Kamala “Commie” Harris are totally legitimate in spite of provable, massive electoral fraud.

Past columns showed irrefutable examples: hundreds of legal affidavits proving all manner of fraudulent, illegal voting practices and unconstitutional procedural shenanigans. So, the same news sources that proclaimed the guilt of Trump for any deranged accusation they could conjure up for years—even letting Schiff, Clapper, Brennan, Comey et al expound on that for which, when under oath, they never had one iota of evidence; the same news media that collaborated to “kill” the story of the laptop with troves of evidence of Hunter Biden’s—and by extension Joe Biden and his family’s—corrupt financial racket with China and Ukraine;

The same sources gave credence to false, made-up stories of sexual crimes against Bret Kavanaugh and falsely asserted racism and disrespect by the Covington Catholic High School kids, and Nicholas Sandman in particular (who won $250 million in damages from the Washington Post), toward Native American activist and proven liar, Nathan Phillips; the same people praised whistleblowers with magazine covers but now haven’t the on-air time or news print inches for election whistleblowers stepping up to call fowl on Democrat election cheating for Biden.

Collectively, those same people—Democrats-with-bylines giving massive in-kind contributions to Democrat candidates they serve—now haven’t the slightest interest in publicizing the greatest election theft in America’s history. We don’t begrudge Biden the 6 million vote surplus he got over Trump in CA, WA, and Oregon, mostly on the up and up.

What we will not ever accept is that Biden legitimately earned the 43,000-vote margin over Trump in Arizona, Georgia and Wisconsin (37 Electoral Votes); or the 277,000-vote margin in Nevada, PA and Michigan (42 EVs). The first three would’ve made a 269-269 tie, wherein the Republican control of more state delegations in the House would give Trump the win. The second three would’ve made Trump the winner with 274 and all six represent a 314 EV win for Trump. Dead, out-of-state, underage, double and non-existent voters, and vote-counting software—stole all six states from Trump.

We now know the Dominion or Hart voting machines had software programs that 1) flipped votes from Trump to Biden, 2) consistently gave Biden an edge in all counties, 3) used a firm that was recently hacked, 4) were forensically declared a “national security issue” by an investigative group, and 5) were capable of connecting to the Internet, in spite of assertions otherwise by their executives.

Go to donpolson.blogspot.com, research “Links to articles on the problems with Dominion voting machines that swung election to Biden.” I favor using the Insurrection Act to seize all voting machines and materials, and re-vote in the questionable counties—Trump wins big!
