Obama Is Not a Real Man

Obama Is Not a Real Man
 by Laura Ingraham Staff
Mitt Romney’s likability in terms of electability has been continuously called into question. We are now beyond that, having entered into the more serious realm of facts, records, and Obama’s most elusive trait: responsibility. With fewer than 20 days left until the election, voters have begun to focus on the strengths of the presidential candidates that really matter. People want a president they can trust, someone who is a leader, competent, and honest, so it’s no wonder that Mitt Romney has recently strengthened his standing with women in the nation’s top battleground states.

The great French author and pioneer aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote, “To be a man is to be responsible.” Children are notorious for evading blame, and Barack Obama’s constant avoidance of fault for the terrible economy, the tragedy in Benghazi, and everything else is pathetically juvenile. It’s also weak and dangerous to our country.

Obama did try to gain some political virility as he claimed at the debate last night that, “I’m the president and I’m always responsible,” but let us remember that it was a woman and a subordinate who took the fall first.

On the subject of manhood, Saint-Exupéry further said it is, “to feel shame at the sight of what seems to be unmerited misery. It is to take pride in a victory won by one’s comrades. It is to feel, when setting one’s stone, that one is contributing to the building of the world.”

By this definition, Obama strikes out all around. He is not and never has been responsible. As far as shame goes, the president is under the delusion that the economy is improving, and with regard to the attacks in Libya, Obama benevolently granted that he is “interested in finding out what happened.” There is no victory won by his comrades in which Obama has cause to take pride, and “contributing to the building of the world” is right under “meet with Bibi Netanyahu” on his priorities list.

Romney has real world experience and the American people recognize it. A person doesn’t climb to the top of the business world by shirking responsibility and avoiding the tough issues. Leading America back to greatness requires a person of integrity and character, not a callow, under-qualified celebrity in the business for the perks.
