No Mr. Brooks, That’s The Real Obama

No Mr. Brooks, That’s The Real Obama
Barack Obama, Media Bias, by TWB

David “Crease in the Pants” Brooks does his best to try and convince us that the childish, combative, and yarn spinning Obama that we were witness to this week wasn’t the real Obama. It was some other variation of The One that fails miserably when he tries to get down in the mud with the rest of the pigs.
President Obama is an intelligent, judicious man who can see all sides of an issue. But every once in a while he tries to get politically cute, and he puts on his Keith Olbermann mask.

I suppose it’s to his credit that he’s most inept when he tries to take the low road. He resorts to hoary, brain-dead clichés. He wanders so far from his true nature that he makes Mitt Romney look like Mr. Authenticity.

That’s pretty much what happened this week in Obama’s speech before a group of newspaper editors. Obama’s target in this speech was Representative Paul Ryan’s budget.
No Dave, Obama isn’t judicious and he doesn’t look at all sides of an issue. He sees his side. His side is the only side that matters to him. You assume it was his “Keith Olbermann mask”, when in actuality Obama and Olbermann are cut from the same mold. You’re just too much of an elitist to realize it.

Further, Obama looked inept this week because he is inept. Not because he was taking a position (the low road) unfamiliar to him. President Obama has taken up residence on the low road. He’s been consistently there since he took office. And for all of the criticism leveled at Mitt Romney for being a plastic candidate, he’s twice as authentic as Barack Hussein Obama. Ironically, Obama’s actions this week were about as authentic as he’ll ever be while he holds his current office.

But then again, I wouldn’t expect the “authentic conservative” columnist at the New York Times to fully understand authenticity.

Ace works Brooks over pretty good, too.
